Ji Wei gasped for breath, trying hard to calm herself down.
Continuing to waste words with this shameless old man was completely pointless.
When Ji Wei turned her head, she saw Gu Moqian staring blankly in the direction of the boxing ring. She tugged at his sleeve and whispered, "You’re worried about A Cheng too, aren’t you?"
Gu Moqian withdrew his gaze from the referee by the edge of the ring and nodded lightly, "Let’s go."
Yamamoto Yu had already gone ahead to the private box. When Ji Wei and Gu Moqian walked in, he was lifting the lid of his teacup to take a sip. "Come, have a seat." Yamamoto Yu gestured toward the two chairs beside him and invited them.
Ji Wei didn’t bother to hide her disdain, let alone sit near him. Instead, she walked over to the window and gazed outside.
As expected, this was the best spot to watch the match—offering an unobstructed view of the entire boxing ring. Every move on the floor below was completely within sight of those in the private box.
That was why, the last time she was down there, Gu Moqian had spotted her so quickly, right?

Ji Wei couldn’t help but giggle to herself when she saw Yamamoto Yu’s defeated expression.

Just then, the referee’s whistle echoed through the arena, officially signaling the start of the boxing match.
The muscular opponent charged in with aggressive momentum, every punch targeting A Cheng’s vital spots.
A Cheng was at a disadvantage, unable to find an opening to counterattack. He kept dodging backward until the muscular opponent forced him into the corner of the ring.
The muscular man’s face was filled with mocking arrogance, like a superior crushing an inferior. With a brutal punch aimed at A Cheng’s exposed abdomen, A Cheng’s face instantly turned pale, his temple veins bulging as he bent over in pain.
The referee blew the whistle to pause the match.
Both fighters had ended up too close to the edge, creating a risk of A Cheng being knocked out of the ring at any moment.
The muscular opponent clashed his fists together, twisted his neck side to side, and retreated with an air of smug satisfaction. To him, A Cheng was nothing more than a weakling, not even worthy of being called a proper opponent.
Ji Wei’s heart tightened as she watched.
Even though she knew this matchup was grossly unfair, seeing A Cheng getting pummeled without a chance to fight back still filled her with anxiety.
When she turned and caught the smirk on Yamamoto Yu’s face, she clenched her fists tightly in fury.
The referee brought A Cheng back to the center of the ring. After confirming he could continue, the whistle signaled the match to resume.
The muscular opponent swung his fists with straightforward brutality. He simply wanted to finish the fight quickly, collect his prize money, and leave. Fighting someone as weak as A Cheng didn’t spark any competitive drive in him.
A Cheng’s sharp eyes stayed locked on the muscular man’s movements.
It didn’t take long for him to notice—this opponent only had a limited set of moves. And because of his bulky frame, he lacked agility, making certain actions imprecise.
Just as the muscular man’s fist was about to smash toward A Cheng’s face, A Cheng suddenly crouched down. Then, with a sweeping kick, while he didn’t knock the man off his feet, he made him stumble a few steps, missing his punch entirely.
Seeing this, Ji Wei finally felt a sense of triumph and couldn’t help but blurt out her praise.
A Cheng was indeed clever, playing to his strengths while exploiting his opponent’s weaknesses.
