Chapter 35: He Had a Pennant In His Hands

Fu Sichen had taken three days off of work in the hopes of getting a good rest. But, early in the morning, Wang Youquan gave him an urgent call.
“Fu Sichen! You were in a fight last night?! You even ended up at the police station!”
Wang Youquan felt terribly victimized by Fu Sichen’s annoyance.
Being a manager of an artiste was not an easy job!
He slept in the office overnight because he had to finish some extra work. But in the morning, his colleague Mrs. Flower came to visit him.
“Wow, your Best Actor Fu really is a jack of all trades. He beat someone up to the point of hospitalization. Why, he even landed himself some time in the police station.”
Wang Youquan was speechless.
The shocked manager immediately logged onto his Weibo account. Just as he had feared, Best Actor Fu was trending and in all the latest headlines. Again!
Only this time, it was for something negative!
“Fu Sichen’s Evening At the Police Station; Suspected Brawl.”
The report was quite well researched; the reporter had allegedly interviewed the hospital security personnel. According to the security guard, Fu Sichen punched the Skinny One and kicked the Fat One. He was now being detained by the police because of his extremely violent behavior.
Not only did the reporter manage to twist the truth, but he also managed to take a photograph of Fu Sichen leaving the police station.
It was taken secretly, so the picture wasn’t in very sharp resolution. However, anyone who was familiar with Best Actor Fu could tell that it was him.
“You really got into a fight?” Wang Youquan had worked with Fu Sichen for so many years, so he found it hard to believe that Fu Sichen could be so impulsive, “Are the reporters making things up again? Those deplorable dredges of society really need to be taught a lesson. I’ll send them a cease and desist from a lawyer!”
“They didn’t make it up.” Fu Sichen was annoyed and in a bad mood because he had been disturbed from his sleep. He said in a hostile tone, “I really did hit those people.”
Wang Youquan was stunned.

The Great Manager Wang wanted to yell loudly to express how shocked and angry he was feeling at the moment. But, he couldn’t even do that because of his naturally soft and feminine voice!
This was so frustrating!
Where did his professional and accomplished top artiste go?!
“It wasn’t a big deal.” Fu Sichen said in his usual nonchalant manner, completely unaware of his manager’s anger, “I was on the side of justice. Don’t worry— you’ll still end up winning the Manager’s Gold Award this year.”
After appeasing Wang Youyuan, Fu Sichen turned off his phone, tossed it to the side, and went back to sleep.
The hairy white ball next to his hand shifted petulantly under his blanket, as if he had been disturbed by the loud conversation. Fu Sichen opened his eyes to glance at the ball of fur before reaching out and pulling it into his embrace.
The night before, he had really missed Pei Zhen. He ended up drinking a couple of glasses of red wine to calm himself down.
It seems like the Persian cat also had a few drinks?
In a daze, Fu Sichen shut his eyes again to fall into a deep sleep. All he could think about was how similar the Persian cat and Pei Zhen were. They both had extremely low alcohol tolerances.
After Fu Sichen hung up, Wang Youquan tried to call back multiple times. None of the calls went through.
Wang Youquan was so angry that he was almost in tears.
But, after a good cry, he knew that he still needed to act pleasant with these celebrities.
The internet was flooded with comments. Some questioned the reports, while others reprimanded Fu Sichen. Fans of celebrities that competed with Best Actor Fu quickly acted on this rare opportunity to put him down.
“Wow, Best Actor Fu and his cat are criminals now? Is that what Best Actors do nowadays?”
“I heard he was an all-rounder, excelling in intellect, character, and physical strength… Now it seems like those were all lies.”

Wang Youquan couldn’t bring himself to finish reading the rest of the nasty comments. He needed to contact the Public Relations Department to discuss possible countermeasures. Just as he opened the door, however, he almost ran into someone.

It was a sweet young thing. She had a bodyguard standing behind her; he had a pennant in his hands.
