Rebecca Quentin slowly opened her burning eyes and looked at the nurse in a daze, "Hm?"
"The patient Dr. Wilson was performing surgery on had a complication. Now Dr. Wilson can’t proceed with your surgery, and the Dr. Hughes you recently scheduled with is also on leave. I’m afraid you’ll have to go to another hospital for this surgery."
Rebecca Quentin sat up straight, helped out of bed by the nurse.
The nurse kept apologizing, "I’m so sorry, Miss Quentin..."

Rebecca Quentin’s steps halted, and upon seeing the car that had stopped abruptly due to her running the red light, only tens of centimeters away, she was scared out of her wits.
Immediately, a person got out of the car.
Rebecca Quentin hadn’t initially noticed the car’s license plate and model, but seeing Roye getting out, her face turned pale, and the hand fearfully resting on her abdomen slowly withdrew.

With an inadvertent glance, through the transparent glass, she saw him sitting in the back seat at that moment, next to Mrs. Geoffrey, and judging by the route, he was clearly heading from here to his private airport in the suburbs.
Roye walked to the car window, nervously explaining to Howard Geoffrey, "President, it was unintentional... Miss Quentin was walking by the roadside, how could I have anticipated she’d run a red light? I couldn’t stop in time. Are you and the old lady alright?"
Howard Geoffrey withdrew his gaze from the fragile figure ahead, turned his face to look beside him, "Mom, are you alright?"

Howard Geoffrey then cast a glance forward, his brow slightly furrowed, and suddenly got out of the car.
Roye quickly opened the car door for Howard Geoffrey.
Howard Geoffrey strutted towards Rebecca Quentin like a dangerous jaguar, staring at her pale face, and he spoke calmly, "Seems like you once again took my words as wind in your ears."
The familiar scent surged into her nostrils, and the sweet talk they once shared now turned into an extremely cold deep voice, which made her heart feel unbearably uncomfortable.
You want me to let you go? Fine, just disappear before me forever!
His cold and resolute words still echoed in her ears, and her heart clenched tightly.
Rebecca Quentin responded to him coldly, "You know very well when you show up here, I can’t predict nor am I idly waiting here to encounter you."
"Do you walk without using your eyes? Do you not know what a red light is?" Howard Geoffrey shouted angrily.
His harsh words and disdainful attitude made her already aggrieved heart, due to the pregnancy, ache even more. The bitterness surged to her throat, she tried hard to hold it back, and turned her head to the other side, dropping her gaze.
"I’ll let you off this time, best remember what I said."
Howard Geoffrey’s words puzzled Rebecca Quentin, prompting her to look up.
Rebecca Quentin shook her head, "I don’t understand, I’m just walking, and you make it sound like I’m purposely trying to see you."
"Then you’d better figure out my whereabouts in the future and steer clear." Howard Geoffrey’s originally cold gaze abruptly became sharp, glaring at Rebecca Quentin, "I don’t care what excuse you have, remember to disappear before me, because I hate seeing you, and I won’t allow you to appear before me again!"
Howard Geoffrey’s words pierce directly into Rebecca Quentin’s heart, catching her completely off guard.
