Aunt Clare was up front, pulling their luggage, while Becca and Isabella walked hand-in-hand behind her.
Isabella still couldn’t help but sigh with regret. "Ah, even if you’re leaving, you could have at least told him, just to see how he’d react!"
What reaction could he possibly have? He’s probably wrapped up in someone else’s affection right now, without even a moment to think of her...

Although the man in the photo was in the prime of his life, Becca recognized him at a glance as her father in his dashing youth. As for the woman in the photo, Becca had no idea who she was; she didn’t recognize her at all.
Becca pushed the documents back towards the police, stating firmly, "How can a few documents and these photos prove my daddy committed fraud?"
