Aunt Clare’s eyes instantly lit up. "How old is he?"
Rebecca Quentin thought for a moment. "I think he’s thirty-seven!" She had only chanced upon his brief profile earlier that day while going through some documents, which was why it stuck in her mind.
Aunt Clare grew increasingly interested. "That’s a good age! Not impulsive like younger men—he’s mature and considerate, and his career is going so well."
Hearing Aunt Clare’s stream of praises, Rebecca Quentin, who was drinking her soup, slowly looked up at her and said with some uncertainty, "Are you trying to say..."
