Yang Zhilin gestured to the bodyguard beside her.

"Not well." The person answering Grandma Zhou was actually Zhou Xiaoyun, who had had a falling-out with the village head at his home. But Grandma Zhou was clearly not thinking about that and pressed him, "Who’s buying, and at what price?"

"What will I do later? I have no husband, no children, unlike you. After selling the land, you won’t have to work hard to earn money, won’t have to worry about retirement funds or anything, you can enjoy life. Why wouldn’t I sell?" Grandma Zhou said, eyes wide open like him, "Besides, the village head is greedy, I don’t believe he won’t think about selling at a good price. Land prices are high all around us, he can’t fool us."
That’s the difference between people. Although it’s collective land, the elderly each have their own thoughts. When it comes to personal interests, everyone has their own agenda; no one thinks about the common surname or the family as a whole.

Startled out of sleep by the noise, Yebai noticed his wife wasn’t beside him. Panicked, he immediately jumped up and started calling her.
After a few rings, there seemed to be no answer.
A sudden wave of fear washed over him, and he jumped out of bed and hurried downstairs.
He almost knocked down Grandma Zhou as he brushed past her. She was startled by his rush; just about to call out to him, she suddenly remembered, "What’s his name again?"
