Flora nodded her head.
’He wasn’t wasting time around me. He learned a thing or two.’
"You shouldn’t be proud of that. It’s not like he learned how to help someone. He learned to torture." Cupid shared her thoughts.
Pablo didn’t hear her.
"So you are saying you will free my father?" Flashy asked.
Flora nodded like a chicken.
The symbiote was still inside her and Flashy would remove it, but not now.
"Free him then." He said.
Flora’s eyes widened.
"I will only make your mouth free if my father returns to normal." Flashy declared.
"It’s your wish." Flashy would wait. But he would certainly have fun.
He moved the symbiote more inside Flora and the woman could only scream as a muffle.
"Will you do it now?" Flashy asked again.
And this time, Flora broke down.
She nodded her head a hundred times in one second.
Flora raised her hand, pointing towards Gerald and the next second, a blue light came out of her palm.
The light fell on Gerald’s face and went away.
Pablo still had Gerald under his feet, struggling but after absorbing the blue light, Pablo felt Gerald’s resistance getting less and less.
"I think it’s working, Flashy." Pablo relayed the results.
"It might. But only when I am sure my father is fully well will I have some mercy on this woman."
The symbiote remained inside Flora and Pablo’s work was becoming easier.
Gerald almost stopped moving but Pablo remained his feet above him just in case the old man got violent.
Meanwhile, Gerald, he was looking left and right.
He blinked a couple of times as he took in all his surroundings.
Flashy and Pablo gawked at the old man and Gerald turned around his head.
"Good morning, old man." Pablo said.
Gerald’s eyes widened.
He saw Pablo’s feet above him.
"How dare you treat me ?!"
Gerald bursted out in black flames and Pablo was forced to get away from Flashy’s dad.
Gerald finally stood up.
Black flames danced around his whole body as the man glared at Pablo.
However, Pablo was taken aback by something else.
"Do you also have a black Ego?"
The dancing flames around Gerald seemed like his aura as Pablo could also do something .
"No, young man." Gerald cracked his fists. "These are shadows."
Pablo sighed. "That’s nice then. I was afraid for a second."
"You would be afraid for the rest of your life. How dare you keep me under your foot?"
Gerald appeared in front of Pablo.
They were held by a shadow.
"I want yours too." Gerald said and the shadow began pulling Pablo inside it.
"Shit. Welcome back, anyway."
Pablo called Colt out of his bracelet and held it.
He swung it towards the shadow holding his feet.
One more abyssal black shadow held Pablo’s hand.
Then, making sure he couldn’t move, Gerald held the other hand of Pablo too, using a shadow of course.
’His one leg is broken and yet he has this much power. And he just woke up from a ten years of brain fog. Flashy’s father is a menace alright.’
Pablo acknowledged Gerald’s strength.
But it seemed Gerald had too much anger. As he wasn’t satisfied just by holding Pablo by his shadows.
Because after that, he called more shadows and they began crawling on Pablo.
Their weightless hands grabbed Pablo from all around as more and more shadows began covering his entire body.
Pablo’s face was the last visible thing and Gerald looked right in his eyes.
"Good night, young man."
Like that, the shadows covered Pablo’s face too.
Pablo became all black, he looked like a black humanoid silhouette.
Gerald turned around, leaving Pablo behind him.
"Get lost in the Abyss."
He had just taken one step but then..
A huge pressure descended down on him from behind.
His eyes widened as he instantly jerked around.
The shadows running away.
The shadows crying and coming back to Gerald.
Layer by layer, the shadows stripped themselves from the human.
And as the last shadow ran away, Gerald saw the man whom he just defeated seconds ago.
"Get lost in the Abyss, you said?"
Pablo jerked his sword, a shadow under his feet struggling to get out.
"Where do you think I came from?"
This never happened to him. No one came out from his shadows.
And Pablo, forget about coming out of the shadows, the man had pinned one under his leg.
"Who.. who are you?! How did you do that?" Gerald barked.
Pablo stepped towards him.
"I am not someone you could just overpower. You can’t even touch my shadow."
"But this is impossible! No one came out of my shadows alive."
"There’s a first time for everything."
"No seriously," Cupid chimed in. "How did you do it?"
’It’s true. It just happened.’
"I will talk about it later."
Cupid stopped talking and Pablo paid attention to Gerald, who seemed as if he decided something.
"So be it. You are dangerous. I can’t have you around me."
Gerald spread his arms.
"Flashy!" Pablo shouted. "Tame your father before I tame him myself. And believe me, you won’t like it."
"Flashy? How do you know him? How do you know my son?"
"Turn around and see for yourself."
Gerald did that and finally, he saw it.
His son and his first wife.
Flashy also saw his dad.
"Flashy? You are here?" Gerald asked, his eyes filled with confusion.
But before Flashy could speak, Gerald’s eyes fell on Flora.
He saw the gasping woman and right away, his fist tensed up.
"What do you think you are doing to my wife!?"
His shadows made their appearance again as they wrapped themselves around his body.
"I sent you away to become a respectable man. And you became a fucking weakling fighting against woman? I am ashamed to call you my son."
Gerald walked towards Flashy.
Flashy’s eyes went wide.
"His brain still hasn’t caught up to reality, Boss. Do something. I don’t want to fight him. I can’t fight him anyway."
"I see." Pablo nodded. "Then we just have to make him remember everything that his wife did to him."
"Don’t worry," Pablo bent his knees.
He jumped in front of Gerald, his sword vibrating for some slashing as he smiled.
