Pablo’s and Malvador’s soldier called them and with one last look to each other, they turned around and sat among a group of soldiers.
"How do we spend the night, Czar? All of us shouldn’t sleep all at once. They might attack us." Draxus asked.
The other soldiers nodded and stared at Pablo.
"Malvador won’t attack you in sleep. That’s for sure. But the Cannibals might do it. So I will stay awake. You all should sleep." Pablo answered.
"You will sacrifice your sleep for us?" One soldier asked.
Pablo nodded. "You all need to be at your full potential. If I don’t sleep, nothing happens to me. I only have bad dreams anyway."
The soldiers stared at Pablo and after a second, they agreed and saluted their commander.
Pablo couldn’t give a shit about that.
Sera and Hena were at his both sides and then he heard some footsteps coming towards him.
He looked at his left and it was Harlia.
A soldier gave her space to sit and Harlia sat as well.
Pablo kept his eyes on her and Harlia wasted no time.
"I want to kill that Man."
Pablo shrugged. "You can try."
"No. I will kill him. I came here just to tell you if I killed him, don’t be sad."
Pablo smiled. "I won’t be sad at all."
You won’t be able to kill him anyway.
"So you won’t stay with your soldiers while fighting with the Cannibals?" Pablo asked.
Harlia shook her head. "I will kill the Cannibals as soon as possible. I will go straight for Corrosive and kill him. When the king of the Cannibals will die, they will be easy to kill. After that, I will go straight for Malvador and kill him. I shall end this war single-handedly. He shouldn’t have talked to me like that."
"Sure. I will finally get to see your Ego as well."
Harlia scoffed. "You will also get to see how I handle disrespect. And why do I stop you to watch your manners while talking to me."
Pablo chuckled and after saying that, Harlia took her leave. But while walking, she turned around.
"I will keep an eye when my soldiers will be sleeping. You can do whatever you want. I won’t be able to sleep anyway."
Pablo nodded. "I will do the same. Sleeping isn’t necessary for me."
Harlia waved her hand, said nothing and walked towards her army.
Pablo’s soldiers talked a little more and after a few minutes, one by one, they went inside their tents.
"You two should get some sleep too." Pablo said to Hena and Sera.
The girls didn’t move from Pablo’s shoulders.
Pablo sighed. "You have to take some sleep. Especially you, Hena. Your Ego drains stamina. You should be at your finest in the war."
"Go." Pablo said, sternly.
Hena couldn’t refuse and let go of Pablo’s hand.
Now only Sera and Pablo were left awake.
Also, Harlia was there but she was far from Pablo.
Her eyes were fixed on Malvador and behind those eyes, Pablo knew tornadoes were churning. She wanted to eat Malvador alive and she would really do it. Or she would try at least.
Pablo’s back was in front of his enemies and he didn’t like that.
So he turned around and now he also stared at the enemies.
But as soon as he turned around, he saw that Malvador was also staring at him.
Both men were again looking at each other and Pablo saw Malvador’s eyes twitching.
Pablo wondered why that happened when he felt a head on his shoulder.
So he saw Sera. And he was surprised to see her with me? Why?
Pablo frowned and when he looked at Malvador again, the vampire king was now smiling.
I see. So he already decided that he will use her against me. Something like hostage shit.
Pablo figured everything that went on inside Malvador’s mind and he simply shook his head.
I don’t give a fuck about her. He can take her hostage but it won’t matter to me. But if he is as strong as he thinks he is, then he wouldn’t even need to use a hostage and all.
Pablo gazed at the sleeping Sera on his shoulder. He knew she didn’t need to sleep as Andrezj could pretty much do any kind of magic on her to make her perfectly healthy and fine.
"What would you do if he used you as a hostage?" Pablo asked.
Sera opened her eyes and smiled. "You won’t save me?"
Pablo sighed. "I won’t. If he asked me to kill myself to protect you, I won’t save you. I might try to think of ways to save you but there is a possibility that he will kill you before I could do anything."
"My dearest won’t die. She doesn’t need you to save her. I am enough for that." Andrezj chimed in.
Pablo slowly nodded and watched Sera’s reaction.
She still had a smile on her face even after Pablo told her that he wouldn’t save her.
"I know you won’t save me. But you said that you might try to think of ways to save me. That is enough for me. By saying that, you already saved me, dear."
Sera held Pablo’s arm tighter and closed her eyes again.
She loves me too damn much. I really don’t deserve something . I am loved but I know I don’t deserve this. For a monster like me, there is no greater punishment than this.
Pablo shook his head at his misery and thoughts and watched Malvador again.
If he tried to use her as a tool, and if I am free and able to move, I will surely do something to save her. This is the least she deserves in return of giving me her Ego.
Pablo made up his mind and now he only waited for one thing.
