While Shinji was enjoying the company of Tiana and the others, far away, a group of succubi—once attendants to the former goddess Satin and the ones who had stirred the zealots into frenzy—had gathered in a room within the zealot kingdom’s royal castle. They had received word of urgent news.
The royal palace was a place where the succubi roamed freely. The nation’s leaders had long been dulled and bound by the succubi’s charm magic, their wills melted to nothing. No one dared question them when they seized a room without permission.
”Where’s that girl? The one who did the summoning isn’t even here.”
”Late again, as always. No wonder she keeps losing her little servants. I heard she’s gone through several already.”
”And didn’t she even run off to the front lines? Probably begging for help—’lend me your servant,’ something like that.”
The three succubi, though different in type, were each breathtakingly beautiful. Their confidence radiated through their smiles and postures. Together with the one who once bowed before Freri, they were known as the Four Succubi Lords who had served the former goddess Satin.
However, the one absent now was a newcomer. The original leader had been sent to another world at Satin’s request, and the “bowing succubus” had filled the vacant position. Though part of the Four Lords in name, she was still looked down upon by the others—her power and standing not yet their equal.
”She only made the cut because of a promotion by default,” one sneered. “Still, she’s better than most. We can’t afford to lose more of our lands. Now that Satin-sama is gone, the only thing we can do is deliver faith to her memory.”
”That’s true. So let’s each send one of our best servants—”
Her words stopped when the door burst open.
A voice filled the room, echoing inside their minds. ‘To me, your differences are trivial.’
All of them turned toward the sound, frowning, their auras flaring as they readied themselves.
”I’m sorry! I got caught!” cried the missing succubus.
In the doorway stood a human-sized wooden golem, a succubus bound tightly in vines, and beside them—Freri, carrying the divine power of a goddess within her.
Even without her current boost from Shinji’s Divine Staff Aria, Freri’s strength already surpassed theirs. Now, her power was overwhelming—so much so that the succubi trembled, their will to fight slipping away as instinct urged them to kneel.
The vine-wrapped succubus lay on the table, whimpering softly, her spirit broken long before.
’Good. If you won’t resist, then we can talk. Listen carefully.’
Freri gestured toward the chairs. The succubi sat stiffly, unsure, while she began to speak. She told them that their mistress Satin had been dismissed—that the world now had a new overseer. The truth struck them hard. The goddess they had worshipped was gone. Their faith had no home.
As Freri continued, the weight in the room grew heavier. She explained that the Resistance now worked alongside the new goddess’s apostles, and that she herself was a helper from another world. She told them how she had captured the bound succubus and come here.
”Satin-sama… dismissed? That can’t be…”
”So the new goddess is against us? I wish I hadn’t learned that… but still, fighting in ignorance feels worse.”
”What do we do? She sounds like the strict type. Surrendering won’t be easy.”
They had no will for war. The succubi had toyed with mortals in the name of faith, but that was because they served the goddess who ruled this world. Without that divine backing, their behavior had no purpose.
They didn’t need chaos to survive. Gathering magic for their growth could be done quietly. It had only been Satin’s desire for more faith that pushed them to extremes. With that gone, rebellion no longer made sense.
”We’ll have to warn the others working in different worlds,” said one quietly.
”Yes, but without Satin-sama, we can’t reach them.”
”If only we’d learned how to contact them before…”
The bound succubus’s remark filled them with regret. They could already sense more trouble ahead. Then Freri clapped her hands softly. Her gaze was calm, her voice—inside their minds—steady and commanding.
’I have a way to solve everything. If you join me, I will help you.’
”That’s right!” cried the vine-wrapped succubus, wriggling on the table. “This lady serves another goddess entirely! She’s a true apostle—she can use divine power and even travel between worlds!”
Her desperate words rang true. To her, Freri was salvation.
’Indeed,’ Freri continued. ‘I am also the son of a succubus raised by succubi. I was planning to form a demon army soon—it seems the perfect time. What will you choose?’
She tilted her head, a sly smile playing at her lips. The succubi exchanged glances. They all knew they could not win against her. Submit or resist—those were the only options. But resistance meant death, or worse: a life in hiding, feeding in shadows, fading away.
The clever ones saw the truth. There was no hope in defiance. One by one, they nodded silently. Then, together, they stood and bowed deeply.
”Please—let us serve under you!”
Their quick answer, without pride or haggling, pleased Freri. She had expected to teach them a harsh lesson if they resisted, but peace came easily this time.
’Good. Then we begin with a contract. After that, you’ll tell me everything you know.’
”Yes, we understand.”
Without realizing it, they had narrowly escaped “training” of a far more painful kind. Feeling a chill run down their spines, they stepped forward one by one to make their contracts with Freri.
And so, without the zealots’ knowledge, all of their divine attendants—the succubi who had guided prayers, granted ecstasy, and fought off heretics—vanished from the castle before dawn, having pledged themselves to Freri.
By the time the sun rose, the kingdom fell into chaos. Their “holy voices” were gone, their “angels of pleasure” vanished, and the believers, bereft of their living idols, lost all sense of order.
That was the beginning of Freri’s demon army.

• Tiana – Female. Luluane’s first disciple. She has blue hair tied in a round bun, a petite build, and a well-defined, feminine figure. Energetic, confident, and competitive, she is quick to speak and express gratitude. Her relationship with Shinji is respectful and positive.
