The Dragonkin woman is staring at me, pissed off after killing the massive worm with one simple attack. I can not believe my luck. It is like finally pulling that SSR character you want just when you run out of currency to get it. Only to then turn on you.
I can feel the daggers in her eyes when she sees me.
"You! Vulpin!" She orders me. "Explain! Where am I and how I get here?!"
"I used a scroll of [Summon Ally] and it brought you here..." I answer, finding the wall behind me while trying to escape.
She squints her eyes.
"You summoned me to kill that giant creature, right?" She takes a step closer.
I nod.
"Where is your spine?" Karina asked.
It’s easy to talk when you don’t have a physical body!
"Answer now!"
"Yes! I didn’t know what the scroll did, but it brought you here!"
"Okay. Job’s done. Send me back."
"What?"
"I said, send me back! I was about to get a pound!"
"Ah... I am sorry, but I cannot."
"What did you say?"
"That I cannot!" I cover myself from the impact.
"Y-you... I said, send me back!"
She swings at me with her hand. She aims the claws on her fingers at me... But stops right before she strikes.
I look at her fingers, just centimeters from my face. And then her face, which is contorting from her effort to deal the blow.
"W-what the-?!" She stutters and takes another swing at me. She stops close to me again. "Why can’t I attack you?! What sorcery is this?!"
"Ah. Right... Summons cannot attack their summoner." I answer, now relaxing.
She grunts and jumps back to the corner of the hallway.
"[Inferno]!" She screams and uses the same spell she used against the worm.
The fire surrounds me, the cone of burning magic covers the whole hallway. And I see it moving around me. There is heat, I feel it, but no flames come close enough to burn me, and the temperature does not rise much.
When the spell settles and sees me standing like nothing, I smile at her.
"See? Unscathed!" I answer in pride.
With her, I had the chance to escape the dungeon.
"Fuck!" She curses and moves back to me. "Send me back or I swear I will find the way to kill you!"
"Sorry, but I need your help to leave this place. We can see that you return home after we are done here."
"Oh, you think you give the orders here, little vixen?" She leans closer to me. "I am Tyrant Aurelia! Leader of the Northern Lamp Clan in the frozen lands! I give the orders!"
Not only is she a tyrant, but she also comes from the other side of the continent. She is a whole hemisphere of distance from her home.
But what makes me react is the name of her clan... I summoned the leader of the Northern Lamp Clan! I had encounters with them when I explored that part of the continent, and...
"Hey, Aurelia... It’s me, Amber." I say.
She takes a step back in recoil when I reveal myself. She looks at me from top to bottom, and it takes her a few moments. Then she smirks.
"Well... If it isn’t the almighty Amber!" She leans in closer and takes my chin. "What a delightful surprise...and look how you’re dressed... Are you considering my offer?"
Offer?
Is she talking about the flavor text that always appeared when I talked with her?
She is eyeing me from top to bottom! It is making me more self-conscious that I am wearing only a shirt and no pants.
"I had a whole dungeon room made just for you."
"Ah-"
My brain short-circuits.
"Gheez... I knew you were a pervert, but being told like that in public..." Karina says.
"Hey! She is the one who insists on it! I’m not into that sort of stuff!"
My real issue with her is that I know from her flavor text that she wants to put me in a leash. I don’t want that.
Dragon kin are a half-dragon, half-human race. They usually form clans and lead warring lifestyles. Power through strength is a constant for them, and the strongest dominates. She is the strongest of her clan, so she is the Tyrant.
And then I came, an outsider who managed to clear her ranks with magic spells. We never actually fought, though.
"Explain, Vulpin. Why are you dressed like that?"
I explain to her what happened. I avoid the details of coming from another world.
And this one is safe. She cannot hurt me, no matter how powerful she is. The way the summon works is that she is now an ally and servant of mine.
"To think they would betray you..." Aurelia was listening with complete attention. "Well, I am always going to help an old friend! I will help you get back to the surface."
Good.
"In exchange, you owe me that pound!"
"Please tell me you mean meat..."
"Yeah! I was about to have a nice feast! Pounds and pounds of meat when you summoned me!" She crosses her arms.
"Who phrases it like that?!"
"I am impressed that someone is meeting your perversion," Karina said.
"Stop it, Karina!"
"Who are you talking to?" Aurelia asks.
She looks where Karina is, as I was just looking at her while talking. I can sense she is confused.
"You cannot see her?" I ask.
"For the moment, I am only visible to you," Karina explained. "Which is sad because in the meantime, I can only interact with you."
I am stuck between a brat spirit and a freaky dragon lady. Great.
I wish I had Kathrina with me. She was crazy too, but at least she was helpful so far.
"Let’s just go find the exit," I say, and walk past Aurelia.
"You got it, sugar tits!" She says, and as I go by her, I feel a sudden pressure in my ass.
"Eeep!" I yelp and jump forward and turn around.
"Hahaha! What a nice reaction!" Aurelia says.
She just grabbed my ass!
"H-hey! Don’t go touching people like that without permission!"
"Oh, it sucks, doesn’t?!" Karina says.
