Beneath these three space motherships spread the Iron Wings, the soaring Combat Witch Brigade. The brave and skilled Battle Witches, having lost various chip controls, became even more loyal and now joined the battle each carrying their own Magic Power.
In terms of individual combat ability, they far surpass ordinary troops. If they can develop sophisticated tactics in coordination with warships and fighter aircraft, they will be able to perform outstandingly in the future’s super-scale corporate warfare, becoming the major variable on the battlefield.
And below them marched the Nestor Army in formation.
To one side were the "Elite Soldiers", professional combat Synthetic Humans who were well-trained and fought to the death without retreat.
On the other side were the Nestor Armed Soldiers, advancing in neatly arranged columns clad in military Armor, wielding Main Battle Rifles and maintaining a somber posture.
In the center were the members of the Nestor Legion, arrayed in a formidable square, emitting a murderous aura. The so-called "Nestor Legion", currently only a thousand strong, were the elite of the elites carefully selected from various levels of the company’s forces. They represented a quality-over-quantity philosophy and underwent prolonged war simulations and brutal training at the Nestor Headquarters’ combat training facilities beyond what most could imagine.
After repeated training and enhancement, the Nestor Legion soldiers were passionate and brave, each one a muscular giant towering over the soldiers and Synthetic Humans to either side. The legionnaires were clad in the new ultra-heavy military armor provided by the research department, specialized in anti-armor tasks and daunting demolitions. Once the battle commenced, the Nestor Legion would appear where the action was fiercest.
The ultimate goal in training such a legion was naturally to benchmark against the elite forces of other companies, such as Black Fire Innovation’s Invisible Imperial Guard and the Heavenly Cardinal Manufacturing’s Tianque Attendant military backbone organizations.
Behind the posters, the Nestor Corporation’s flag fluttered high, with the Eastern Hemisphere as the backdrop.
"As long as chaos, tragedy, and injustice still exist, Nestor Corporation will need to maintain its military presence,"
A cold and stern slogan displayed at the bottom, a heartless warning. Although she did not appear, people would immediately think of the company’s president, whose demeanor was as sharp as frost.
Friendly and united internally, striking hard externally, the military might of Nestor Corporation was fully demonstrated on the poster. The eyes of all well-known enterprises were fixed on Nestor Corporation, contemplating what role they would play in the corporate wars of the Eastern Hemisphere.
Would they be conducting a military exercise, or would they seize the opportunity to intervene in the war, moving south towards the Taiya Archipelago to dissolve Black Fire Innovation’s regional hegemony?
Black Fire Innovation, the world’s largest arms enterprise, now had to face not only Xia’s massive corporations but also the emerging threat from the Nestor Corporation.
"Now everybody understands, it’s up to Black Fire Innovation," Xu Yang in the president’s office at Nestor Headquarters, a room more like a massive machinery hub, connecting Lila’s chip to hundreds of servers for managing a myriad of vast affairs.
"I hope this exercise goes smoothly, proving that we can achieve coordinated actions of the warship troops through intelligent control," Lila observed the military report, "that means everything will be under my control, with no need to continue promoting such a tricky position as warship commander."
"The old nobility have been able to maintain their existence in the Northern Archipelago," Xu Yang assessed, "largely because they have long held sway over the Orochi and many warship officers, effectively controlling power within the military."
"Even now, 30% of warship troop officers come from noble families," Lila calculated, "If we can replace the captains and officers’ positions with precise intelligent joint combat meetings, they will have to exit the stage of history completely, leaving the warships entirely under Nestor Corporation’s control, without any obstruction."
"We must be prepared..." Xu Yang nodded, his brow furrowed, his attention also wholly on the upcoming military exercises, as well as the potential for warfare with Black Fire Innovation.
The way of life and death cannot be ignored.
Whether they send the fleet out to open waters for exercises or have the Disciple Squad uproot Blackfire’s strongholds, the goal is to seize the oil and gas resources in the target waters and push out the remaining Black Fire Innovation forces in the Northern Archipelago.
So, faced with Nestor Corporation’s advancement, would Black Fire Innovation counterattack?
Given Black Fire Innovation’s ferocity, they might take desperate risks and drag Nestor Corporation into the fray, fighting until winter. By then, not only would Nestor Corporation be trapped in a protracted conflict, but its interiors would also be engulfed by the frosty climate, leading to a complete loss, a downfall from which it could not recover.
And if they do not seize the oil and gas resources to fuel their heating measures, when the piercing winter comes, it will be the same path to doom.
The strategic interplay on the corporate level changes in the blink of an eye.
According to Xu Yang’s repeated considerations, deploying regular forces up front for deterrence and sending out squads for covert operations remained the most optimal solution.
Thinking about it now could not help but evoke myriad emotions. Xu Yang thought to himself how his own faction had grown strong enough to pose a threat to Black Fire Innovation. Compared to those early conflicts with Aizu City, it was a day and night difference.
How much effort had everyone put in along the way? How many people worked tirelessly day and night? How many bled and sacrificed, striving to build a better tomorrow, so that both humans and Witches could live with dignity.
