Cybernetic Evolution System Chapter 75

Just as Kiran was about to thrust downward, his instincts flared.

Instinctively, he leapt back, widening the gap between him and the hole.

An iron sword appeared from nowhere and stabbed into his previous position.

"Who is it?" Kiran quickly looked in the direction the iron sword had shot out from and asked.

The descendants of the Windcrest Clan realised what had just occurred and formed a protective circle around themselves.

Kiran quickly noticed an individual approaching from a distance. However, because he could see the culprit’s face, his eyes widened in surprise.

Several flaming fireworks shot towards them.

They leapt back, easily avoiding the flaming attack.

The flaming fireworks struck the grassy fields.

BANNGG!! BANNGG!! BANNGG!!

Dust and smoke surged into the air like rolling waves.

A small wildfire ignited the nearby grasses and slowly spread to the surrounding bushes and trees.

A mysterious figure that landed in the heavy clouds of smoke and dust.

"No manners." Kiran snorted.

He stretched out his hand and cast a spell.

A gale of wind gathered into a sphere at the centre of his palm.

It launched at the mysterious individual at a terrifying speed.

The heavy clouds of dust and smoke parted, scattering into the air.

The wildfire was quickly extinguished.

"Tchh!" Kiran was annoyed, having missed his target.

’Have our plans already been uncovered?" Kiran inwardly thought.

He was a little worried that someone had learnt about their plans, so he had launched an attacked to end this quickly.

However, the opponent had anticipated his attack and easily avoided it.

Judging from the force behind the thrown sword and fire-type spell, it was clear that they weren’t an ordinary opponent.

Soon, the surroundings became clearer.

The ground was scorched black and filled with ashes of the leaves.

His eyes widened in shock, seeing the face of the person who had attacked them.

Not only him, but the other Windcrest Clan’s descendants widened their eyes with a mixture of surprise and disbelief.

Their expressions immediately shifted into one of intense hatred.

"You-" Kiren trembled, his veins bulging as a surge of anger coursed through him.

Their eyes had landed on none other than the Worst One.

Ezekiel Zahara. The new third-ranked Magical Swordsman of Class Three Magical Swordsman Rankings!

However, none dared to charge at him.

They remembered how Ezekiel had defeated Jaran.

Although Jaran might not have unleashed his full strength, that didn’t change the fact that he had lost.

For Jaran to use his entire strength to defeat Ezekiel meant one thing: the Worst One had grown stronger.

"Oh! I wasn’t expecting to meet the descendants of the Windcrest Can here," Ezekiel said, examining the group.

"What’s the meaning of this?" Kiran recollected his emotions and asked, "Why did you suddenly attack us without reason?"

"I’m sorry. It was a slip of the hand. I was on my way to completing a task and thought that you were magical beasts. I hadn’t expected that you were also students of the Grand Avalon Academy," Ezekiel responded.

He raised his hand to scratch his cheeks.

"If you don’t mind, why don’t we pretend as though none of this had occurred?"

As he spoke, he glanced at the burrow.

Kiran and the others were momentarily stunned by his words.

Kiran gritted his teeth.

Still, he didn’t act rashly.

He gathered his emotions once more.

"Are you trying to become an enemy of the Windcrest Clan?" Kiran asked.

"I said, I’m sorry. Wasn’t that enough?" Ezekiel responded, frowning, "You guys have always said that it was enough before. Why doesn’t that seem to be the case now?"

"What are you saying?! Do you understand the consequences of what you have done?" a Windcrest Clan descendant asked, his expression contorted in anger.

"Who are you? And what consequences are you talking about?" Ezekiel narrowed his eyes at him.

The Windcrest Clan descendant who had just spoken sealed his lips and trembled.

"I’m starting to get annoyed by your pointless questions. So I’ll give you two options."

Ezekiel raised his hand forward and raised a finger.

"First, you can leave, and I will pretend as though none of this had transpired."

He raised a second finger.

"Second, continue asking pointless questions and find out later."

"Enough of this! Let’s deal with him! He went all out in his duel against Jaran, even going so far as to utilise his sacred art to emerge victorious. We can surround him and defeat him. Even Jaran would struggle against all of us together," another Windcrest Clan descendant gritted the words through his teeth.

"Yeah, we won’t be as arrogant as Jaran. Now that we know his true strength, we’ll attack him decisively with everything we have."

"I want to butcher up his face so badly. Besides, we should also get our compensation for what he had done to Jaran. No one would know that we did anything as long as we buried him somewhere within the dungeon if he doesn’t survive."

"Then, let’s end this quickly," he said.

Ezekiel looked at the group in surprise as they hadn’t bothered to keep their conversation a secret.

"Threatening to kill another student is strictly prohibited by the Grand Avalon Academy’s rules. Naturally, I should report this threat to a faculty member, but you would most likely get away with a slap on the wrist," Ezekiel responded, shaking his head tiredly.

"Since I had personally tutored Jaran, he would be grateful if I tutored you guys as well. Maybe then, you would learn not to say things like that again."

Ezekiel opened his storage bag and pretended as though he was taking out something as he summoned the Spiral Fang. He closed his storage bag.

He unsheathed his iron sword.

On Ezekiel’s right hand was his iron sword, and on his left was Spiral Fang.

’What kind of sword is that? Are you trying to make fun of us?" Kiran asked, filled with confusion, as he looked at the sword in Ezekiel’s hand.

He sensed mana emanating from it, indicating that it was a magic weapon.
