Yang Peijun had a content look about him, and Yang PeiMin also let him be with a smile.
The school’s programs were going smoothly and were quite unique. Other classes came to watch, but thinking about maintaining an air of mystery, they were shooed away.
In her own dorm’s Chinese class, they were planning a poetry recitation; half men, half women, and nearly half the class was involved.
And the one organizing and directing rehearsals was Zhu Qing, who had also proposed and led the program.
Most of the dorm’s residents were participating, and when Yang PeiMin returned to the dorm, she was pulled into a discussion.
But they were mainly asking about her biology class. Although they asked, their faces brimmed with confidence, which made Yang PeiMin laugh. As for Yang PeiMin’s own group, it was only her; wearing everyday clothes was fine, no need for uniformity or fuss, the same as most other classes. Now the emphasis for university students was on simplicity and frugality.
So when they brought up this topic, Yang PeiMin found an excuse to slip away to avoid being dragged into it.
“PeiMin, don’t go. Tell us, don’t you think we should have a uniform outfit?” Zhu Qing called her back, perhaps feeling that among those present, only the two of them had similar views on propriety.
Yang PeiMin waved her off, “You discuss amongst yourselves. As for your class, I’m just an outsider with no right to speak.”
“What about your class? Are you preparing costumes?”
Yang PeiMin shook her head, “I’m not performing on stage, so they discussed these matters among themselves. It seems they haven’t decided yet.”
“But our class is different from yours. Whether you wear the same thing or not doesn’t matter, but for us, it does. Besides, we’ve even invited journalists to come. Don’t you want to make a good impression on camera?”
“What journalists? They’re actually coming to this?”

When she got back to the classroom, Tang Zhao stopped her and she stepped into the corridor to ask what was up.
Tang Zhao also brought up the journalists, “We have that makeup product, don’t we? It’s the perfect opportunity to showcase it, and we can focus on researching it…”
Despite his shy and honest appearance, Tang Zhao was actually quite steady and savvy, just like now, he had the foresight for what’s referred to in the future as ‘publicity stunts’!
Yang PeiMin listened more and more satisfied.

The major source of funds Yang PeiMin could contribute was from the garment factory. She had saved a bit from the dividends over the past half year. If she really got down to it, she could afford to start, albeit modestly.
She discussed her approximate available funds.
Tang Zhao nodded, already calculating, “The main cost is the equipment, everything else is minor. If it’s not enough, we can figure something out.”
Yang PeiMin nodded, “Alright, let’s pool our resources.”
They only had time for a brief chat during the break, the rest had to be planned properly later.
They agreed to meet after school in the lab to discuss further, and to bring Li Yue along.
Both were people Yang PeiMin had roped into helping out, but luckily they were both enthusiastic and willing to engage.
After one class, school was out, and the three sat down to discuss further. Their first task was the makeup aspect, and Yang PeiMin was already well-acquainted with that, as she’d done the same for the Cultural Troupe before. Now, taking care of makeup for several classes wasn’t an issue, and even if unable to do the makeup themselves, they could contribute their products.
Fortunately, her family always kept a stock at home, three sets were enough, just for a day’s performance.
When she got home, she sorted out these things and continued with her planning, even skipping dinner.
Yang Peijun brought her food and also gave her an update.
“Is your assignment so serious you’ve resorted to this?”
“No worries, I’ll eat after I finish these two characters, I’m not hungry yet. Has your brother-in-law come back?”
“Not yet, don’t wait for him. Eat by yourself, I’ve brought it in for you. You eat, just keep your ears open and listen to me.”
