Half an hour later, Zhu Fei and Dong Miaoxuan, led by Fan Xuebing, arrived at a midibus school bus.
It had to be said that Fan Xuebing had some connections and influence in the school.
Being able to have the school provide a midibus for their gathering was not something an ordinary student union vice-chairman could easily accomplish.
The most important reason was the certain background behind Fan Xuebing.
It wasn’t known if Fan Xuebing had made any arrangements beforehand. However, once Zhu Fei boarded the midibus, he was shocked to find only one seat left.
This made Zhu Fei involuntarily frown slightly, instinctively feeling something was amiss.
But as for what exactly was wrong, Zhu Fei couldn’t pinpoint at the moment.
"Hehe, Qin Feng, Miaoxuan, I’m sorry. I called a few more friends over just now. There might not be enough seats here."
At that moment, Fan Xuebing suddenly walked up with a laugh and apologetically said to them, "How about this, why don’t you two take my car instead? We’ll go ahead and wait for everyone at the hotel’s entrance. Would that be okay?"

Upon hearing Dong Miaoxuan’s suggestion, both Qin Feng and Fan Xuebing’s eyes simultaneously flashed with a touch of gloom.
Qin Feng felt threatened because Dong Miaoxuan had defended Zhu Fei numerous times, which also sparked a deep pang of jealousy in him.
"Damn it, what are you trying to imply, Dong Miaoxuan? You keep defending Zhu Fei and being considerate toward him. Why haven’t I ever seen you do this for me? Who exactly is your boyfriend?"
As for Fan Xuebing, it was simply because he disliked Zhu Fei, naturally unpleased to hear Dong Miaoxuan defend him.
However, although this was what they thought, they did not show it outwardly.
After pondering for a moment, Fan Xuebing feigned an apologetic tone and said to Dong Miaoxuan, "Miaoxuan, it’s not that I, Fan Xuebing, don’t want to give you this favor, but my car literally cannot fit four people."
Saying this, Fan Xuebing even pointed to a black Bentley sports car parked not far away, then spread his hands towards Dong Miaoxuan with an innocent expression,
"Miaoxuan, if you don’t believe me, you can go check yourself. My Bentley can only fit three people at most."
Dong Miaoxuan looked doubtful, and she actually walked forward to the black Bentley, looked inside,
and discovered just as Fan Xuebing had said, though the car had two rows of seats, there was indeed only one available seat in the back row.
Seeing this, a trace of helplessness crossed Dong Miaoxuan’s face.
She could only turn around and walk toward the midibus where Zhu Fei was, intending to explain the situation to him personally.
Miaoxuan, however, didn’t notice that as she headed to the shuttle bus, Fan Xuebing suddenly took a pill from his own pocket and handed it to Qin Feng, whispering something in his ear.
Inside the shuttle bus, Zhu Fei listened to Miaoxuan’s explanation, his brow involuntarily furrowing once more.
After this incident, his sense of foreboding had risen sharply.
He wanted to warn Miaoxuan about something, but just then, Miaoxuan spoke up first, stopping Zhu Fei from speaking.
"Zhu Fei, I’m truly sorry about this. Next time, I’ll personally bring Qin Feng again, and you must not refuse my invitation to dinner."
After saying this with a smile, Miaoxuan waved at Zhu Fei and then cheerfully left.
Watching Miaoxuan’s graceful figure and Qin Feng get into the black Bentley sports car together, Zhu Fei sighed deeply.
Well, since he was part of this gathering, Qin Feng and Fan Xuebing wouldn’t succeed in any sneaky moves under his watch.
Hopefully, Miaoxuan would soon see through Qin Feng’s true character.
With that thought, Zhu Fei decided not to dwell on it anymore, leaned back, and without interacting with anyone around, started to rest quietly.
Inside the black Bentley, Fan Xuebing sat in the driver’s seat, and Qin Feng sat beside him, while Miaoxuan sat alone in the back.
Fan Xuebing didn’t wait for the shuttle bus to start; he had already started the sports car and took the opportunity to close the windows.
The car quickly left East University and headed toward their meeting at the hotel.
Along the way, Fan Xuebing and Qin Feng frequently checked the rear-view mirror, as if they were waiting for something.
One minute, two minutes, three minutes ...
About five minutes later, Miaoxuan, who was sitting in the back, suddenly felt drowsy and her head inexplicably heavy.
She wanted to ask Fan Xuebing to lower the windows, but before she could say it, the drowsiness overpowered her, and she unconsciously fell asleep.
"Miaoxuan, Miaoxuan, wake up Miaoxuan."
