Danmachi: A Mage's Journey Chapter 5

"The amount of information is too little. At least add a few more uses. Never mind. Simplicity has its advantages. At least it's understandable." Akira comforted himself.

Clicking into the [Skill Bar], he saw that it was very rich, unlike [Personal Information]. Putting aside the early common skills, the skills of the five subclasses were also in it, but many of the skills were dark.

The only skills that had been unlocked were Wind Strike and Ice Ball. There seemed to be nothing like skill points in [Skill Bar]. Maybe the skills can be unlocked as long as the level is raised to the corresponding stage.

When clicking on [Backpack], Akira saw 30 slots, one of which contained a level 1 gift pack.

He opened the gift pack, and a weapon selection package, 5 bottles of red potions, 5 blue potions and a level 10 gift pack appear.

For weapon selection, Akira chose an ordinary magic wand. To handle the melee aspect, he had decided to buy a spear when purchasing equipment tomorrow.

After that, he clicked [Task] just to see that there was already a task waiting for him.

Three months later, survive the "Return of the Gods" and "Seven Days of Death" and fight against Evilus.

'That means there are still three months left. To be of help, I need to at least have a level 2 falna and reach level 15 so that I can perform class advancement.' Akira thought.

Perhaps it was because he was exhausted from going through so many things today, he fell asleep as soon as he closed his eyes.

Akira closed his eyes and fumbled around the pillow. When he didn't find his phone, he opened his eyes and stared blankly at what was in front of him.

"Ah, I am no longer in my old world."

After washing up, he went to the kitchen and found that Astraea had already prepared breakfast.

"Morning, Astraea-sama." Akira raised his hand to greet her.

"Good morning, Akira. Would you like to have breakfast first, or wait for everyone to eat together?" Astraea responded, supporting her face with her hands on the table.

"Let's eat together."

"Good morning." Ryuu and Kaguya opened the door and came in.

Then the other girls got up one after another.

"Good morning! Today is a very energetic day, hahaha." Alise the last one to arrive, said.

"Lion-san, can you practice with me later? I want to try out some skills." Akira said to Ryuu who was sitting next to Astraea.

Ryuu replied, ''No problem.''

Iska said, "Hey, are you challenging Ryuu right off the bat? Is this true?"

"Astraea-sama, can we go and watch?"

Astraea clapped her hands and said, "Okay."

Akira picked up a wooden sword in the training ground. Although he didn't know any sword skills, he could at least perform basic chops.

Ryuu also stood aside holding a wooden sword.

Akira took a deep breath.

Facing a powerful second-class adventurer, he was very nervous.

He held the wooden sword diagonally across his chest and strode towards Ryuu, with a magical whirlwind secretly condensing in his left hand.

The wooden swords collided with each other, and the moment Akira was pushed back, he pressed the whirlwind in his left hand towards Ryuu, and quickly jumped back a few steps under the resulting force.

The whirlwind only blew Ryuu's golden hair before it was shattered by the wooden sword.

Akira placed one hand on the hand holding the sword, and ice condensed on the tip of the sword. An ice ball quickly took shape, flying towards Ryuu. Water gathered around the ice and fired at Ryuu, quickly following the ice ball, intending to launch a double attack.

Ryuu took a step forward, and with quick steps, she used her wooden sword to split the ice ball in two, and at the same time, the wooden sword instantly turned back and chopped at Akira's wooden sword.

Akira's eyes trembled, and the sword in his hand was quickly pushed away. Before the whirlwind in his hand could be fully condensed, Ryuu's wooden sword was already on his neck.

Ryuu calmly said, ''You lose.''

Akira sat on the ground, panting, for a while. "Well, I lost. Lion-san is really amazing."

Ryuu shook her head and said, "That's not true. You just received a falna and have already achieved this level. Not to mention that your talent is better than mine. You will definitely surpass me soon."

The Astraea familia members gathered around.

Iska picked up Akira in a familiar manner and said, "You're quite good."

"You actually used two magics without a chant."

"Is this your magic, little Akira?"

Ignoring the commotion over there, Kaguya came to Alise's side and said, "It's really too stressful for this guy to fight with Ryuu right after receiving a falna."

Alise shook her head and said, "Hahaha, it's okay. Isn't it a good thing that the power of justice has increased? Before he becomes stronger, let us protect him!"

She had a dazzling smile on her face.

"Then, can Kaguya temporarily guide Akira's adventure next?" Astraea approached the two of them, stroking their heads and said.

"Leave it to me, Astraea-sama." Kaguya blushed as she enjoyed Astraea's love.

"Come to think of it, Akira has joined our familia, so let's do that!" Alise said excitedly.

Everyone, let's do that!"

Alise strode confidently over to Akira, her ruby-red hair swaying like fire as she extended her hand toward him with a radiant smile.

"Akira, you probably don't know about our vow yet, do you?"

She explained, her expression growing solemn yet full of light, "You can't lie in front of a goddess. In her presence, your words become your truest feelings."

Her smile brightened at that very moment—warm, honest, and impossible to resist.

Faced with her irresistible aura, a few of the girls around them couldn't help but avert their eyes, their cheeks turning pink.

"Do we have to say it aloud? I feel kind of embarrassed." Lyra muttered.

"Yeah, I'm not really good at saying things out loud like that…" Kaguya added with a nervous chuckle.

"Lyra, Kaguya, come on, be serious now. I-I'm not embarrassed at all." A blushing Ryuu chimed in, trying hard to hide her shyness.
