After selecting food and juice, the two made their way to a long sofa in the resting area.
Jiutiao Meijie perched with her legs crossed, arms folded, her bored gaze drifting towards the bustling dance floor filled with gowns.
Sitting beside her, Dubian Che also observed the incredibly luxurious yet boring scene, while taking on the duties of holding the plate and feeding her.
"No wonder Rose gave up the aristocratic life."
"Who’s Rose?" Jiutiao Meijie shifted her gaze to Dubian Che.
"The female protagonist from ’Titanic.’"
Jiutiao Meijie turned her eyes back to the dance floor, "What do you mean by ’giving up the aristocratic life’?"
"I mean," Dubian Che said, cutting into a piece of cake that could be eaten without opening the mouth too wide and bringing it near her lips.
Jiutiao Meijie interrupted him, "I want something with fruits."
Dubian Che reluctantly ate the creamy cake that would surely add to his waistline, then cut her a piece that had a bit of kiwi.
Jiutiao Meijie opened her mouth slightly and ate the cake, "Continue."
"I mean, you might grow tired of this high-class lifestyle sooner or later; experiencing how the common people live from time to time would make life more interesting."
"Common people’s life? Salad."
Dubian Che placed the cake plate on the table, took a sip of water to wash down the creamy taste in his mouth, then picked up the plate with the salad.
After feeding Jiutiao Meijie a bite with his fork, he asked, "Have you ever been to the summer festival?"
"I’ve seen fireworks."
"Not just that. Like, have you ever walked through a stall crowded with people, scooped goldfish, shot balloons with a plastic gun, or licked cotton candy or toffee apples?"

"Foie gras? Which one is that?" Dubian Che fed her a piece and tried one himself.
The foie gras melted between the tongue and the roof of the mouth, leaving a fresh and exquisite taste.
Dubian Che had only eaten chicken liver before; the taste was somewhat similar, but foie gras was definitely more delightful.
’I should bring mom and dad to try this.’ he thought.
While Dubian Che was immersed in the gourmet flavors, Jiutiao Meijie, without much reaction, said, "Zucchini."
"Eating so healthily." Dubian Che picked up another plate with vegetables, "You know, I’m staying in Tokyo over the summer break to compete in the Wind Music competition, so I’m planning to fully enjoy the summer festival."
