Inside Sanctuary, time flowes differently for Raven and Alara. For every hour that passes in the outside world, five hours pass inside Sanctuary. With the system's protection, Raven does not have to worry about aging. Even without that, her plant manipulation abilities grant her a regenerative power that makes her nearly immortal, an immortality she now shares with Alara. As long as they blown blown apart or subjected to catastrophic body trauma, they will continue to live forever.
Sitting inside Rose Manor, Raven spread several books across a small table, Alara sat on the opposite side of Raven. Today’s lesson focused on understanding Earth and the dangerous things Alara has no understanding of since her transformation into a zombie. Raven held up a book titled “The Dangers of Men and the Beauty of Women,” Raven pointed at the cover with a serious expression.
"Remember, Alara. Never follow a man anywhere, alone or otherwise. And that goes for women, too. If I’m not with you, you don’t go."
Alara smiled warmly, her eyes glowing with a mix of devotion and subtle cunning as she responded, "Right. You're always right. I only trust what you say and no one else. I've got it down."
Raven’s head nodded with pride, thinking to herself how clever her girlfriend is and how teachable she seems. Meanwhile, Alara felt a surge of pride because she's figured out exactly what to say to make Raven happy. In her mind, she now feels like a qualified girlfriend, even if Raven still refuses to talk about marriage. Alara is confident she just needs time and a few sweet words to eventually get what she wants.
After their talk, Raven decided to give Alara a tour of Sanctuary. She discovered with a bit of surprise and relief that Alara could enter and leave Sanctuary at will, just like her, simply using a mental command. The system offered no explanation as to why, but Raven didn’t care. As long as Alara could escape to safety if needed, that's all that matters.
With everything settled, they eventually left Sanctuary, stepping back into the ruins of the Central Park Zoo. Raven and Alara now both held AK-203's fitted with dual magazines and omni silencers. Alara’s rifle had a laser sight to help her train her firearm aiming as well as a close range scope, while Raven didn’t need one since her combat experience from her past life made such tools useless for her.
Alara, after receiving some basic training from Raven, is now a decent shot with a weapon. Even if Alara can't eliminate a target immediately, she can easily pepper it with bullets, especially since she has access to Raven’s system space for endless ammunition. The thought of Alara as a walking battlefield made Raven smile in satisfaction.
Alara was dressed in a pink tank top and red jeans, her pale yet healthy figure looking almost ethereal under the harsh sunlight of winter. Raven, in contrast, wore her signature white crop top and short jeans, her toned stomach and jade like legs on display without a hint of self-consciousness.
Looking down at her outfit, Alara hesitated for a moment and asked, "Raven… aren't we dressed a bit too inappropriately for this kind of environment?"
Raven scoffed, tossing her midnight blue hair back as she responded without pause to Alara saying, "Alara, honey—we’re strong, sexy women. We can dress however the hell we want. Besides, if anyone even dares to look at you, I will just kill them."
Alara’s cheeks turned bright red. Hearing this declaration, a shy yet delighted smile spread across her face as she said, "That’s all I wanted to hear. You’re such a charmer willing to murder people for me."
