Aaron woke up early in the morning and went to hunt every day for the next three days, as he had done the previous two days.
He wakes up, eats breakfast, and hunts for a while before resting to eat lunch. After that, he resumes hunting until it is dark before retiring for the day by finding a safe place, where he has his dinner and rests for the night until morning.
He would wake up again and do what he did the previous day.
Of course, not everything remained the same. In search of undead treasures, he went deeper and deeper into the ruins. By the end of the fifth day, he was almost at the boundary of the Inner and Core areas.
With his increased number of Skeletons and Ghosts, he was almost invincible in the inner area. He hunted a lot of undead monsters and was able to claim a lot of undead resources that they were guarding.
He was right. The further in he went, the more treasures appeared. This was because the Mana increased both in quality and quantity, the further he went. It’s not just Mana, there is also a lot of Death Energy here. Well, these are called undead ruins, and there are a lot of undead monsters.
With so much energy present in the Inner Area, it is to be expected that the chances of finding treasures in the Inner Area are higher than in the Outer Area. Yeah, there might be a few treasures present in the Outer area, but Aaron ignored the Outer Area and came straight to the Inner Area to hunt.
Even though that was the case, he didn’t care, as looking for treasures in the Outer area is just a waste of time. Moreover, there would be competition for them from other students.
Competition means fights between the students, which others could take advantage of, and it’s also a waste of time. In the meantime, he could find more resources here in the Inner Area.
Also, though Aaron failed to identify many of the treasures he came across in these ruins, he could say from the ones he identified that they are very high in quality, which he was sure the ones that can be found in the Outer Area wouldn’t have.
So, he didn’t miss out on much anyway, to worry about that.
Instead, he concentrated on clearing out the Undead monsters in the Inner Area and getting the treasures that they were guarding. In this way, he can not only increase his level, but with the treasures that he obtained, he can improve his prowess further.
This would make it easier for him to survive in this dangerous world, where there are dangers at every turn.
As usual, Aaron found a safe place to rest for the night, but there are many things swarming in his mind.
One such thing was about the treasures that he had obtained in the past three, four days.
This entry to the undead ruins was a blessing in disguise for Aaron. He collected a lot of treasures here, though most he couldn’t identify, but he did identify a few.
To name a few, he got an Undead Goldstone, which can be improved to increase the strength of an undead creature. He can’t use them on his skeletons, as they were summons, not an undead creature of this world.
It can only improve an undead creature that Aaron raised from the dead, which he lacks now, but not so in the future.
There is Undead Bloodthistle, which is a herb used to improve the HP recovery rate of an undead creature. Though undead are actually dead beings, they are resurrected and have to die again to return to the land of the dead.
They, too, have a certain HP value, like all living beings, but what works on living wouldn’t work on the dead.
Normally, any living being can use healing skills or potions to recover HP, but they don’t work on undead creatures. They have their own healing skills and potions to recover HP.
Undead Boodthistle is one such thing, but it is not like those temporary ones, which recover certain HP and are done with it.
Everyone has a natural HP recovery rate, which, under the stimuli of potions or skills, would temporarily increase. Undead Bloodthistle, on the other hand, has a permanent increase of 10%.
The greatest thing about this was that, though it was an undead treasure, it could be used by the living as well. That 10% was what living would get, while the undead would get even more.
There are certain restrictions, of course. Living can use it only once, and after that, there won’t be any increase in HP recovery rate. Undead, on the other hand, can use this treasure a few more times before they become inefficient.
Even with the restrictions, there is a huge demand for this treasure, but the problem is that it can only be found in regions like the Undead Ruins, which most people avoid.
So, if it were put in an auction, it would go for millions, which can settle someone for life, especially one who had not much growing up.
There are many more that he found, and most of them he couldn’t identify, but he could feel that they are treasures and are very valuable.
"If there are so many valuable treasures in the Inner Area, how about the Core Area?" Aaron wondered.
He was right to think that. The number of treasures and their quality depend on the energy available in the area. The core area would have a higher amount of energy, and that means more treasures there.
If he could find those treasures, he may not have to worry about anything for a few years to come, and in those few years, he can easily increase his rank to a higher rank, which would make his life and the lives of his parents secure.
The question remains at this moment is, whether he can survive venturing into the COre Area or not.
