After receiving Ye Xingli’s call, Ye Xingbei’s mood improved vastly.
She figured that she hadn’t entirely failed as a person. Out of her two brothers, at least one sincerely loved her wholeheartedly.
She looked at the time, “Shall we go back? Let’s deal with some things first, then head to Country Y to settle scores with Shi Qianying the day after tomorrow!
She clenched her fist, full of energy, “I want to bring Yu Nuo with me. I want her to personally teach Shi Qianying a lesson. She should experience the same suffering she inflicted upon Yu Nuo, tenfold!”
Two days later, Gu Junzhu and Ye Xingbei, along with two little ones, Qiao Zui, Fang Yao, Xueno, Yu Nuo, and a team of bodyguards, arrived in Country Y.
As Gu Junzhu had guessed, Xiao Shumiao was beyond excited to find out that he could travel with his parents.
Having grown up in Country Y, he happily pointed out the sights to Lingyue from the car upon their arrival.
Ye Xingbei asked Gu Junzhu, “Are we going to stay at a hotel?”
She definitely wasn’t going back to the Ye Family’s house.
She wasn’t ready to see Ye Xinglan yet.
“No,” said Gu Junzhu, “I have a manor here.”
“Lavender Manor. Gu Group has a cosmetics company there. They grow lavender as a raw material for perfumes and such,” Gu Junzhu revealed, “It’s lavender season now, we’re quite lucky.”
She was not envious, not envious at all, not envious in the least.
Even if she withdrew all her savings, she could buy a manor as well!
After a bit more than an hour, the car drove into a beautiful manor.
Xiao Shumiao exclaimed excitedly, “Wow, it’s so beautiful! Brother Xiaoyue, look, look, the lavender field! Doesn’t it look like a sea of flowers?”
Lingyue nodded seriously, “Yes, it’s very beautiful.”
The pale purple flowers swayed with the wind, like waves, rolling and undulating.
The faint, elegant fragrance could be smelled from afar.
The distant, gentle aroma, unlike other strong fragrances that seem to overwhelm, exuded a serene sensation, much like the light of the moon after autumn.
Glancing out the window, Ye Xingbei’s eyes fell on the left side of his face.
The boy, who used to be like a delicate jade, now had a long scar marking his flawless left cheek.
Even though they had applied the best medicine, it still had not helped.
It was as if a masterpiece painting, beautiful beyond words, had been smeared with a stroke of strong thick ink that made people sigh with regret.

While the doctor didn’t say for sure it couldn’t fully heal, judging by their expression, Ye Xingbei knew there wasn’t much hope.
Every time she saw that scar, her heart felt like it was about to tear apart.
But Lingyue seemed completely indifferent, as if that scar was not on his face.
Since he behaved so nonchalantly about it, Ye Xingbei decided to act as if it didn’t bother her as well.
If the scar could not be healed, she questioned whether he would remain as indifferent as he was now when he grew up.
After all, in this world, there were very few people who didn’t care about their physical appearance.
Lost in her own thoughts, the car came to a stop.
They all got out of the car, and the housekeeper came to greet them.
Ye Xingbei soon received the same level of attentive care she enjoyed at Gu Family’s villas in Jiang City and Beijing.
