At his roar, his personal bodyguard walked in with quick strides.
“Throw her out,” Ye Xinglan jabbed a finger at Shi Qianling, his gaze cold and ruthless. “A decree: from this moment on, the Ye Family and the Shi family are sworn enemies, irreconcilable as water and fire. No member of the Shi family is allowed to step foot on any property belonging to the Ye Family!”
His personal bodyguard, with a steely face, walked over to Shi Qianling and grabbed her arm, pulling her towards the exit.
Shi Qianling cried out loudly, “Brother Lan, you’ve misunderstood! You’ve really misunderstood me. I beg you, Brother Lan, give me a chance to explain…”
Ye Xinglan remained silent as his bodyguard quickened his pace, Shi Qianling’s cries growing fainter and fainter until she was finally dragged away and her sobs could no longer be heard.

“No more questions!” Ye Xinglan said sternly. “Do as I command. I want to see the Shi family bankrupt and in debt, unable to live or die!”
“Understood, Young Master,” replied Foo Chengguang. “The Chi and Duanmu families are teaming up against the Shi family, which is already in a precarious position. With the Gu Group chipping in, they’re in even greater danger. I was just regretting that we couldn’t get a piece of the action when your call came through. Your decision is wise, Young Master.”
“Enough with the chatter!” Ye Xinglan scolded coldly. “Do as I said, and especially remember: we can take a loss, but we cannot allow the Shi family to get any benefits from us!”
“Yes!” replied Foo Chengguang gravely. “Consider the task done!”
Ye Xinglan hung up angrily, closed his eyes, and let out a long sigh.
Moments later, he rubbed his face tiredly and walked into his parents’ room.
Ever since his father had fallen unconscious from coughing up blood, his mother had refused to leave his side. Considering that he didn’t want his mother to share the same bed with his unconcious father, for fear it would interfere with the urgent medical attention, he had arranged for an additional bed to be placed next to the large one.
