Chapter 733: Chapter 737: Marry Me!
The blisters from yesterday’s burns were pierced open by the doctor, treated with medicine, but not bandaged.
The doctor said it was better to let the burns cool overnight before applying medicine and bandaging them.
She sat back down in the chair and allowed Qiao Zui to place his injured arm before her. Carefully, she treated his burns and applied the bandages.

He opened the safe and took a velvet box out of it.
After closing the safe, he returned to the bed and kneeled before Mi Sheng.

He opened the velvet box and presented a diamond ring.
Putting the box aside, he remained kneeling and held out the ring before Mi Sheng, saying, “Xiao Mi, I love you. Will you marry me?”
Mi Sheng was shocked.
Her mouth opened slightly out of surprise as she looked at the diamond ring he was holding, then at Qiao Zui, then back at the ring once more.
Qiao Zui also looked at the diamond ring in his hand: “Xiao Mi, this was the engagement ring my father gave my mother. When my parents got married, they replaced this ring with a wedding ring, and my mother kept this one safe. When I was a child, my mother joked that this ring was to become a family heirloom, to be given to my future wife. After my parents passed away, I kept this ring hoping to find its rightful owner…”
He looked at Mi Sheng, his eyes fixed on hers, asking, “Xiao Mi, will you become its rightful owner?”
Mi Sheng stared at the diamond ring, feeling her mind go blank, the drone of shock in her ears.
She felt joy and excitement, but also a great deal of anxiety.
Qiao Zui did not rush her, only stood there before her, persistently holding the diamond ring up.
Mi Sheng gathered her wits and stuttered, “Are… aren’t you going to consider this more? We reunited not long ago and only just recently affirmed our relationship. Do you think it’s too impulsive of you to propose now?”
Mi Sheng hadn’t thought that she’d ever get such unexpected good fortune.
She loved this man, and while she was racking her brains on how to win him over, he actually proposed to her out of the blue!
It felt like winning the lottery, full of surprise yet incredulous as to whether it was real.

“No! We don’t have to wait!” Mi Sheng quickly stepped forward, prying open his hand, grabbing the ring, and putting it on herself. Holding the ring tightly in her clenched fist, she looked at him, breathing heavily, and said, “Once given, it can’t be taken back!”
Watching Mi Sheng’s tense demeanor, clearly scared that he might change his mind, Qiao Zui’s heart melted.
