When Fisher and Ilois came down to the dining hall, all other subordinates of Valentina had already arrived. However, as they had just pushed open the door of the dining hall, Fisher keenly sensed that something was off in the atmosphere of the room. Heidlin stood respectfully behind her and quietly greeted the newly arrived Fisher and Ilois with a “Good morning.”
In front of Valentina, Helldor sat silently, staring at the steaming hot milk in front of Valentina, his silence exuding a strong sense of determination, while the other subordinates of Valentina quietly bowed their heads to eat breakfast without meddling in matters regarding Helldor.
It seemed that Valentina was angry, likely because Helldor wanted to disembark with them today.
“Today’s breakfast includes fried fish and bread, and here’s also a mushroom soup—please enjoy your meal.”
In a momentary interval, Heidlin thoughtfully served breakfast to Fisher and Ilois, also faintly cutting through the quiet atmosphere of the dining hall.
Ilois quietly declined the mushroom soup, preferring instead to pour out the medicine Fisher had given her, planning to consume it with her breakfast.
Breakfast was consumed in such awkward silence, and even the usually noisy Philis of the Lion-man Species was behaving meekly, silently discarding the vegetable leaves from her mushroom soup onto a plate with her fork.
Just as breakfast was about to end, Valentina, who had elegantly chewed her breakfast while deep in thought for a long time, facing the unmoving gaze of Helldor beside her, gently wiped her mouth with a napkin on the table, glanced at Fisher sitting at the far end, and suddenly ordered everyone,
“We are disembarking soon, preparing to head to the temple of the Moon Rabbit Species to retrieve the hidden Seal… As before, Balzac, Philis, and I will go to the site, Heidlin stays on the boat. Celti, remember to move the ‘Sealing Cage’ outside the temple of the Moon Rabbit Species. After properly arranging everyone’s tasks, Valentina then, while rubbing the ring in her hand, looked toward Helldor who clearly lacked facial features but whose expectant gaze she could feel…
She pursed her lips, and several seconds later, spoke to Fisher who was still eating his breakfast,
“…Mr. Fisher, join us at the temple today as well, and work with Helldor to prepare Protection Magic in advance around the temple… I heard you were the proponent of the ‘Magic Power Soul Theory’, and you might have some experience with attacks from unknown entities, is that alright?”
Upon hearing Valentina speak, Helldor seemed to sigh with relief, exhaling a wave of hot steam before Fisher could respond, and spoke ahead of Valentina,
“Sizzle… I will complete the task properly with Mr. Fisher.”
Valentina sighed helplessly and threw her knife and fork onto the table, then autonomously pushing her wheelchair, she left the dining hall ahead of everyone else, her small body entirely expressing her current mood of dissatisfaction,
“Ladies and gentlemen, go prepare yourselves. We’ll assemble at the elevator in half an hour. It’s cold outside, remember to wear more clothes.”
Having familiarly left the scene first, Fisher chewed the food in his mouth and listened to the sound of the door closing before Heidlin, who was first to speak in the room to Helldor, stated,
