Demon Hunter and His Cabin Chapter 396

Chapter 398: Chapter 398 Bedivere Chapter 398: Chapter 398 Bedivere Tsk!

The car slowly stopped in front of the cabin.

Two tall men stepped out from the car.

All the while, the one-armed old man lay quietly by the lake; he didn’t seem curious or perhaps he already knew the identities of the newcomers through other channels.

“I like the environment here,”

“Henrik, we really should rest here properly for a while.”

“I bet, without women and alcohol, you’ll leave in no more than three days,”

“Have a little faith in me, I think I can last at least four days.”

The rough voice approached the one-armed old man.

“Good heavens, Bedivere, how did you get so old?”

“Last time I saw you, you looked at most 50, but now you look like a man in his seventies or eighties.”

The one-armed old man removed the straw hat from his face, his mood affected, a flicker of displeasure crossing his face.

“Gareth, keep your voice down, I’m not so old that I can’t hear what you’re saying,”

he said impatiently, rising from the recliner and staring at Gareth, the muscular man with a full beard.

“So, what brings you to me?”

“There was something,”

Gaheris, who followed behind Gareth and was a bald, burly man with a face full of cross meat, stepped forward.

“But seeing your condition now, I’m afraid you won’t be much help.”

“What happened? Hasn’t your successor been found yet?”

“Almost there, give me some more time, and it should be finished,”

replied the one-armed old man, who was Bedivere.

“Bedivere, you really should learn from Tristan; he can easily find a successor by choosing from among those Secret Blood families.”

“We are different,” Bedivere shook his head.

“Although Tristan finds a successor easily, his strength recovers at a much slower pace than mine.”

“You came here looking for me because you value certain abilities of mine, don’t you?”

“You do have a point,”

Gaheris shook his head, “I’m not even sure anymore in what way I’m surviving.”

“The Deerhead Spirit that left Tristan seriously injured and on the brink of death has returned, and I fear the three of us won’t be able to kill that thing; we need some extra help.”

“How much longer do you need?”

The one-armed old man flicked his fishing rod.

“Maybe a month, maybe a week…”

“Maybe in the next second.”

“Damn it, I hate the way you all talk!” Gareth complained, twisting his mouth.

“Let’s go, we’ll look for someone else.”

“This time, I absolutely refuse to enter that forest without four Heritage Knights.”

“Can you imagine? Last time the three of us, against one, nearly got one of us killed.”

Bedivere glanced at Gareth, “Wasn’t it said that you guys had already killed one last time?”

“That’s the result we’ve been proclaiming outwardly.”

Gaheris also felt somewhat helpless.

“To have one of us killed by that monster in a three-to-one fight, if this gets out, it will be a blow to the prestige of the Round Table Knight Order.”

“Besides, it’s not easy to explain this to the Privy Council.”

Bedivere nodded in understanding.

But if that was the case, then the strength of the Deerhead Spirit needed to be re-evaluated.

Seemingly noticing the expression on Bedivere’s face, Gaheris responded, “You’re right, that Deerhead Spirit is indeed much more powerful than the official description.”

“Almost close to the Fourth Tier.”

“Fourth Tier, Fourth Tier, damn this ranking system, I think not even the average Fourth Tier is as terrifying as that thing!” Gareth grumbled discontentedly.

“Last time, we nearly crippled that creature, but it hasn’t been long, and now it reappears in the forest completely unharmed.”

“If we’re not mistaken, there must be some terrifying spell fixed onto it, a talent ability that is very dreadful to the Deerhead Spirit.”

“If we can’t find the object where it’s fixing its spell, no matter how many times we kill it, the result will be the same.”

“It might even become stronger each time!”

“Forget it, Gaheris, let’s not waste time here any longer,” Gareth said, growing impatient.

“If this guy can’t help, then let’s try our luck with someone else.”

“Good luck to you!” The one-armed old man said, sitting down without lifting his head, as it seemed the fishing rod in front of him was more captivating to his attention.

“Who else in the Knights has time?”

“Damn it, why are there always so many accidents happening all over the place recently, can’t those damned creatures stay quiet for a few days?”

“Sooner or later, I’ll kill all of those things!”

“Or maybe it would be better to be killed by them, when will these days ever end.”

Gareth’s voice faded away, and just at that moment, the fishing rod twitched, Bedivere’s wrist shook, and as he lifted, he pulled a big fish onto the shore.

He revealed a satisfied smile.

“Finally, a fish took the bait… ”

Meanwhile, after trekking through the forest for a while, Roger and his companions finally saw the ruins of an ancient castle bathed in the afterglow of the setting sun, upon passing through a dense thicket.

What surprised them though was that aside from the three of them, they also saw several youths carrying photographic equipment in front of the castle gate.

Arriving there, a crow flying midair suddenly burst apart, its body turning into a wisp of black smoke, vanishing into the air.

Henrik frowned, from the outside, it seemed the place might have been abandoned for many years, but according to Stephen’s tale, it was a luxuriously decorated top-tier party venue.

“Everyone be careful.”

Roger and the others walked down the hillside, and at this moment, the young people in the distance also took notice of them.

“Hey, guys, are you here to shoot an adventure too?”

The one speaking was a curly-haired young man, with a strange accent, somewhat similar to certain regions in Eastern Armenia.

Behind his sunglasses, Roger silently activated Hunter Vision, scanning over each of the group members.

Three men and two women, among them a couple, and another girl seemed to maintain a close relationship with the remaining two.

But that was all, the three were ordinary people, no anomalies were found on them.

Meanwhile, Henrik and Goway also exchanged glances, without much interaction with the five, they pushed open the dilapidated gates of the castle and entered.

The air was filled with the smell of decay, the flooring severely damaged, with many plants sprouting through the cracks, greenery spread everywhere inside the castle, some even obstructing the paths, making the environment very complex.

“Split up or stay together?” Henrik asked.

Goway crouched down, her hands plunging into the grass beneath her feet, and when she looked up, a light green glow emanated from her eyes, the surrounding grass rustling as unknown energy infused it.

“Witches’ versatility in abilities is so convenient compared to Blood Hunters who are focused on battle.”

After a moment, Goway stood up, the fluctuation of energy around her dissipated.

“Follow me, I’ve detected something unusual.”
