Demon Hunter and His Cabin Chapter 525

Chapter 527: Chapter 496: You’ve Arrived (Two in One)_2 Chapter 527: Chapter 496: You’ve Arrived (Two in One)_2 “You will.”

“Do as I say, and I’ll give you a dignified death,”

“Or I’ll let you keep living.”

Green looked at Alessandro.

“You’ll make a smart choice.”

Alessandro fell silent, and it wasn’t until a good while later that he replied, “The space here is indeed abnormal.”

“It doesn’t seem to be caused by a spell, odd…” Alessandro’s eyes emitted a burst of golden light, uttering a long string of ritual knowledge related to the structure of space.

In the end, Alessandro added with a hint of pride.

“No.” Green shook his head.

“But I’ve confirmed something.”

As he spoke, he spread his fingers, his nails sharpening, with a pattern of gold illuminating each, edged with a fine line of blood.

Green’s palm with its five nails comprised a complex Array.

This method of casting was eye-opening even for Alessandro.

“No wonder you vampires are both mighty hunters and fearsome spellcasters.”

Though unseen, this did not prevent Alessandro from perceiving his surroundings.

“To use one’s own body as casting material, monsters are indeed monsters!”

Alessandro could not help but sneer.

Hearing his words, Gaharad seemed to recall something, his body trembling slightly. Green was like that, and wasn’t she the same?

Although he did not know what had happened, Alessandro could clearly feel the change in the energy around his head.

Immediately after, he saw Green staring into his eyes, conveying a message through his pupils.

Then Green handed Alessandro’s head to Gaharad.

He instructed, then shot a glance at Alessandro.

“Do as I say, find the problem.”

“Are you telling the truth?”

A look of ecstasy passed through Alessandro’s eyes. He closed his eyes, calming himself down.

“Well, it seems I don’t have much choice now.”

“Mr. Green… what should I do next?”

Gaharad could sense that they were not far from the end of their journey.

“Hold onto his head, then show him what he wishes to see.”

Green stood atop a peak, casually watching the distant skies as he replied.

“But if a fight happens in a moment, I’m afraid I won’t be able to…”

“Don’t worry about the fight.”

Green answered, and then took a step forward.

A jet-black stairway appeared in midair.

The stairway was carved with hideous faces and skeletons.

But soon, Gaharad realized that the things on the stairway weren’t carvings at all.

Green did not look down but kept his eyes forward, and with another step, another stair appeared beneath his feet.

Step by step, the surrounding scenery changed dramatically in just a few breaths; the sunny sky was now overcast with dark clouds.

The light seemed to be eclipsed.

Apart from the path Green had walked on, a towering castle shrouded in black smoke loomed ahead.

“What are you dallying for?”

Alessandro’s voice came through.

Gaharad hurried a few steps to keep up with Green.

The stairs beneath his feet were firm yet held the sensibility of living tissue. Gaharad felt as if teeth were grating against the soles of his shoes.

There were even sticky tongues, coiling upwards around his ankles.

Without even exerting herself, her muscles quivered slightly, and the power of the Pale Blood erupted, shattering the dark tongues into segments.

In Green’s presence, had Gaharad not always been feigning weakness?

But she herself was a fourth-order; how could the creatures here possibly affect her?

Shadows flickered in the darkness, among which Gaharad could make out several types of monsters seldom encountered in the outside world.

However, those creatures merely observed and did not approach.

The stairway was not long, and they quickly reached its end.

There, the central door was wide open, with a Headless Knight wearing a bony armor standing there.

“You’re back, you finally came back!”

The bones clustered on Rams’s chestplate formed a fearsome skull that snarled, “I trusted you so much, yet you personally cut off my head!”

“At least you’re still alive,” Green replied.

Rams clenched the weapon in his hand, ready to strike at any moment.

Behind Rams, Kernon lifted the totem pole in his hands.

His attitude had said it all.

The gargoyles spread their wings, scrutinizing Green and Gaharad behind him with their lifeless gazes.

Mowood’s voice, full of sarcasm, echoed, “We seven are one entity, without you, even food lost its savor.”

Green didn’t speak, forging straight ahead.

Standing behind Mowood was Camilla.

“You exploited my trust in you.”

Without an array of drawn weapons, Camilla’s fierce face was strangely calm. Then it changed, the threatening mouthparts disappeared, revealing a face somewhat similar to Green’s.

“I’d like to apologize, but sadly, this is reality.”

“If I had to choose again, I’d do the same.”

Camilla sighed, “So I’ll drain your blood without hesitation.”

Before Green could get closer, Sim’s heavy breathing could be heard.

The next moment, he could no longer contain his fury and roared, his entire body suddenly sprouting thousands of spikes and he lunged toward Green in a flash.

“Dear Green, I’ve missed you!”

“I wish you were dead!”

Before Sim could get any closer, Green knocked him away like a cannonball, crashing violently against the distant wall.

Green stopped, now inside the great hall, where a long dining table laden with sumptuous foods stood in the center of the palace.

Lilith sat at the head, with three chairs to her left and right.

Opposite her was another chair.

Clearly more lavish than the other six.

Lilith looked up, displaying a warm smile.

She was like a wife who had prepared a rich dinner, waiting for her husband to come home.

Gaharad became inexplicably uneasy under her gaze, almost instinctively on the verge of exploding with tension.

“A Round Table Knight?

Lilith laughed softly, pulling out a black leather-covered book and placing it on the table.

“I heard you’ve turned our story into Grimm’s Fairy Tales.”

At this, Green’s pupils slightly contracted.

Concerning Grimm’s Fairy Tales, there were many rumors in the outside world, a mix of truth and falsehood, but any version should not have been spread here, not to Lilith’s ears.

This was something that would only happen if someone deliberately brought it up to her.

A bad premonition suddenly rose in his heart.

Was it the anomaly in the Lietta Family estate?

Lilith flipped open the book in her hands.

“Dear Green, can you tell me who is the princess, who is the queen, and who are the dwarves?”

She counted on her fingers.

“The numbers don’t match. There should be seven dwarves corresponding to you seven, so am I the princess?”

“Skin as white as snow, beauty rivaling the goddess.”

“Must certainly be the hunter!”

With that, Lilith suddenly stood up.

Her black robe parted to both sides, revealing a deep, red, everted scar running from her throat to her navel on her snow-white chest.

Lilith inserted her pale fingers into the wound, a faint smile on her face. Slowly, very slowly, she began to tear the wound open, prying apart her breastbone.

Revealing the hollow cavity within.

“In the story, the hunter let the princess go.”

“But in reality, you devoured my insides!”
