After staring at each girl for a few seconds, he nodded, happy with the trustworthy eyes he was seeing.
"Give me your phones and any other electronics you have on you. Give me your bags as well while you're at it."
They found his instructions strange but ended up listening since his attitude made them all curious.
Kaiden stood and brought everything to the reception, where he asked they be safeguarded for a bit, then went back. Now, there was no way to listen in on them through the gadgets.
If Vespera had a way even now, then he couldn't do much, but if Kaiden were to be forced to tell his secret to someone outside this room, his choice would be her, so he didn't mind all too much. Vespera was not his enemy and never would be.
"About a month ago, I broke my neck." Kaiden dove straight into the nitty-gritty of his story.
