"Let’s just leave it at that, shall we? Or do you want me to start inquiring how your new backdoor acquisition has been treating you?" Luna grumbled, eliciting a loud, shocked yelp from Anna, who snapped her hands to her mouth. The purple-haired beauty’s threat worked wonders as Anna strolled back to her desk and slumped back into her chair, taking on a much more professional aura.
"I imagine you’re here to rent a home," Anna stated while gesturing at the chairs facing her desk. The trio seated themselves, and Kaiden responded, "Yep. We already found the ideal one. It’s this," he said while showing her his phone.
"Oh, a good choice for a young couple to start their life together. Er, I suppose not a young couple but a young harem," the woman corrected herself while sending an exploratory gaze toward Luna and then Nyx, doing her utmost to fish for more juicy details, letting Kaiden know she was truly starved for some good, old-fashioned drama.
Luna suddenly started coughing into her palms while eyeing Anna with meaningful eyes. "Cough! XL slimy anal beads! Cough!"
This was more than enough to stop the woman from prying further—her face went pale before she whimpered dejectedly, earning herself some snickers from Kaiden and an amusedly raised eyebrow from Nyx.
"Yes, that’s the one we were looking for," Luna confirmed once her ’coughing fit’ came to an end.
"I see! It’s still available. We can go there for a viewing right now if your schedule allows."
"What about this office?" Kaiden asked as he looked around, seeing no one to take over the mantle while Anna was gone.
"Oh, my deadbeat husband is sleeping on the toilet again, I imagine..." she scoffed with a very strong edge to her tone.
"What did he do this time?" Luna asked.
"Wrong question, dear. You should ask what he didn’t do, which is getting erect for one second in the last 72 hours!"
"Damn... No wonder you frequented that toy shop."
"I know, right!" Anna nodded fervently as if she were a schoolgirl whining about her boring boyfriend. "I imagine..." she then murmured while glancing at Kaiden slyly, "You face no such issues."
"I would rather die than not satisfy my girls," Kaiden decreed confidently, earning himself a kiss on his cheeks from a purring Nyx and rosy features from Luna. The Storm Valkyrie suffered from a malfunctioning mouth filter and had little care for what others thought of her, but embracing being a girl in a harem was still a bit difficult to do in public, especially when her boyfriend revealed such intimate details as if they were nothing.
Hearing Kaiden’s declaration and seeing the reaction of the two girls cemented it in Anna’s head. "Oh!! This really is a harem in modern-day 21st-century America! In broad daylight! I can’t believe it!"

"Thanks! I don’t really know nor care about these things, my husband bought it for me. He probably thought it would compensate for his total failure as a man. It didn’t."
Kaiden eyed the woman amusedly, she seemed to have a mouth-filter deficiency similar to Luna.
They got in the car, with Kaiden sitting next to Anna and the two girls occupying the seats in the back.
"The location is very close; it won’t take long to get there," Anna stated after pressing the ’on’ button, which resulted in the V8 engine coming alive with a mighty roar.
They chatted amicably for a bit, but then Kaiden asked a question. "Do you know about the awakened housing? Are you able to get your hands on a home from there?"
Anna’s eyelids fluttered wide open as her head snapped in his direction. "Wait, don’t tell me!"
"Yes, I’m an awakened," Kaiden nodded while gesturing for the woman to keep her eyes on the road.
Anna did just as so, after which she murmured, "... Are you jesting with this old woman? I’m not good at understanding Gen Z humor."
"I’m not."
"T-that’s big news! Luna, congrats on catching such a big fish!"
The girl in question didn’t respond.
"So?" Kaiden prodded for an answer.
"I’m sorry, but no. We’re too small-timers for that. You should search at a bigger agency."
Awakened obviously had unique housing needs, such as sturdy walls and furnishings. There was an awakened district in this city where only the awakened were allowed to live, however, the prices were extremely high. They easily asked for 500 Chronos for a month’s rent, and that was for the worst type of building, but in exchange, they offered high-tier and level guards patrolling the streets and apartment complexes around the clock.
Furthermore, due to the high concentration of awakened, those who managed to obtain a house there could use the opportunity to network. Moving there would allow Kaiden and co to have their home watched at all times so they could sleep peacefully, thus, Kaiden hoped to one day obtain the keys to a home in the awakened district.
The four of them quickly arrived at their destination. It was an apartment in a nice, modern-looking complex. They took the elevator to the fifth floor.
"$1,500 a month for this is not a bad deal at all!" Nyx said with a big, excited smile.
It had two bathrooms, a big kitchen, and three bedrooms. While they would sleep together in the same bed, it didn’t hurt to have separate rooms to place their belongings in, such as Luna’s room being the location where her gaming streams took place.
"I like it," the girl in question nodded.
"Like it? I love it! I can’t believe I’m about to move in with my boyfriend into such a nice home!" Nyx shouted joyously while grabbing his hand in both of hers.
"Ah, to be young again..." Anna whined while observing the trio.
"This is exactly what we were looking for," Kaiden said after carefully checking the place for pitfalls that the owner might be trying to hide.
"Great! You can move in as soon as we finalize the contract."
"Let’s do that then."
Just as so, Kaiden rented a nice apartment to truly start his home life with his lovers. They were all very eager to start living together in a proper house and not a student dorm.
With housing settled, it was time to start the monster chef cooking show—and what a banger it would be!
