Summer Spencer immediately raised a smile and said, "Dad, you’re here for breakfast too?"
This elderly man was Cameron Spencer.
Over a month ago, he took his eldest daughter to River City in Central South Province for the National Rich List Awards, but something happened on the way. Since returning, he had been recuperating in the Capital City.
He looked at Summer Spencer, his face expressionless, and said, "The recruitment at Yanda University this year needs to be done properly. A company’s growth requires a constant inflow of fresh blood, a steady supply of talent."
"Yanda is one of the top universities in our country, and their student quality is guaranteed. Don’t use it as a bargaining chip for backdoor deals."
Cameron Spencer’s remarks clearly indicated he heard the earlier confrontation between Summer and Spring Spencer.
Summer Spencer felt her face burn with embarrassment and quickly said, "Dad, I understand. My cousin asked me to reserve two spots for them because the PR department at Yanda ranks first nationwide. Recruiting from there is a win-win."
"Oh, is that so? That’s fine then." Cameron Spencer nodded.
He was not a stickler for rigid rules.
Offering some benefits among relatives, in his eyes, was proper; if you can help, you help—there’s no need to be too strict.
Only after receiving her father’s approval did Summer Spencer breathe a sigh of relief, though her mood remained poor.
After breakfast, she picked up her briefcase and had the driver take her to Yanda University Hospital.
Their family had two Rolls-Royce Phantoms, one for her dad and one for her sister.
When it came to her, she only got a Mercedes, such a common luxury car.
Although Summer Spencer was displeased, she didn’t show it.
A Mercedes stopped at the entrance of Yanda University Hospital, drawing envious glances from many students.
Summer Spencer’s mood genuinely improved.
She got out of the car, her long legs in an LV business suit appearing first before the crowd, followed by her slender figure and confident demeanor.
She was evidently from a wealthy family.
However, the students at Yanda didn’t crowd around her.
They only glanced at her a few times before going about their own business.
Summer Spencer chuckled to herself and carried her briefcase to find Molly Zimmerman’s ward.
Following the room number provided by her aunt, Summer Spencer found Molly Zimmerman.
She was already awake, eating porridge on her hospital bed.
A few students, both male and female, were tending to her, indicating she hadn’t suffered much.
Summer Spencer greeted her with a smile, "Molly, I heard something happened to you. My mom asked me to come see you."
Molly Zimmerman looked up suddenly and was surprised to find her cousin, the daughter of their family’s biggest supporter, Hazel Winchester! Summer Spencer!
"Cousin! What brings you here?! What a surprise!" Molly Zimmerman said quickly, genuinely happy and delighted, even a bit fawning.
It was completely different from the warm smile she usually showed her classmates.
Compared to this genuinely heartfelt smile, her past smiles seemed too "professional."
The people taking care of her in the ward were all student council officers from the PR department.
Despite her excitement, Molly Zimmerman remembered to introduce them, "This is my cousin, the third miss of Spencer Group, Summer Spencer."
Then she said to Summer Spencer, "These are the officers from our department’s student council. They are in charge of coordinating the recruitment from your PR department."
