The two returned to the doctor. Tang Rongling was asked to lie down so that the doctor could treat his wounds.
“It might sting a lot. Just bear with it.” The doctor started disinfecting his wound.
Gu Qingxin watched as the doctor used tweezers to dab a large cotton swab soaked in disinfectant onto his wound non-stop. Just from watching, she felt the pain.
Gu Qingxin couldn’t bear to watch and swiftly moved her gaze elsewhere.
Her wrist was suddenly gripped. Gu Qingxin tried to pull back immediately, but Tang Rongling only held it tighter. She looked at his face and saw his veins popping out in pain. Thinking about it, she decided to let him continue.
In the end, the doctor covered the wound with gauze and said, “Done.”
Only then did Tang Rongling release Gu Qingxin’s wrist. She quickly retreated and looked down to see a red ring where he had held her.
When the two left the hospital, Tang Rongling kept watching her. After they stepped out of the hospital, Gu Qingxin didn’t want to get in his car again, so she decided to take a cab instead.
Tang Rongling didn’t force her this time. He hailed a cab for her and after she got in, she hesitated for a moment before saying, “Take care of your wound.”
“Mm.” Tang Rongling responded briefly.
Only after the taxi drove away did Gu Qingxin truly breathe a sigh of relief. She slowly rubbed her own wrist. Why did Tang Rongling suddenly feel different from before?
It was better this way. She didn’t wish to be entangled with him anymore.
Her phone rang. When she saw it was Beiming Han’s number, she immediately answered, “Hello, Ah Han.”
“Where are you?” Beiming Han asked directly.
“I’m on my way.” Gu Qingxin subconsciously didn’t tell him about the incident just now, fearing that he might get angry.
“Come directly to the company.” After Beiming Han had said this, he ended the call.
She informed the driver to change his route, heading straight for Sheng Ming Corporation.
Upon arriving at the entrance of Sheng Ming Corporation, Gu Qingxin ran into Gu Huai’an and Gu Yunci.
Seeing her, Gu Huai’an immediately walked over with a smile and said, “Qingxin, what a coincidence. You’re here too.”
“Why are you guys here?” Gu Qingxin looked at both of them somewhat surprised.
“Mr. Ming’s secretary called us over.” Gu Huai’an’s voice was filled with excitement, believing this must be due to Gu Qingxin’s influence on Beiming Han.
Little does he know that Gu Qingxin hasn’t mentioned Gu Huai’an to Beiming Han at all.

Gu Yunci was much more obedient compared to Gu Qingxin.
Gu Huai’an and Gu Yunci were both calculating, each harboring their own agendas.
“Miss Gu, the CEO asked me to invite you up.” Lian Qingruo came down to personally usher in the three of them.
Lian Qingruo took the three to the CEO’s office. Gu Huai’an inspected the luxurious decor, realizing that it wasn’t something a small company could match.
Gu Yunci was touching up her makeup all the way. She had specially chosen a sexy dress, believing that Beiming Han would definitely like it.
