Seeing that Beiming Han stopped making a fuss, Gu Qingxin finally let out a sigh of relief and followed him to the couch. She reached for the medicine and found the disinfectant, intending to disinfect his wounds first.
“I can take care of it,” expressed Beiming Han, as he saw how fatigued she was and did not want her to stand for too long.
“Let me do it. You were injured while trying to save me,” Gu Qingxin dodged his hand.
“If I wasn’t injured because of saving you, you wouldn’t care?” Beiming Han glared at her.
Gu Qingxin was taken aback. She hadn’t expected him to counter-question her and shook her head immediately, “Of course not.”
Beiming Han’s gaze was really intimidating. Gu Qingxin felt uneasy under his stare and looked away awkwardly, suggesting, “Let’s apply the medicine first.”
Beiming Han restrained the urge to hold her, allowing her to disinfect his wound and apply the medicine.
After finishing up, Beiming Han rapidly rose to his feet, stating, “The medication’s applied, you can go back to the hospital now.”
Gu Qingxin was utterly bewildered. He had been fine earlier, but why was he suddenly throwing a tantrum again?
Was it because she rejected him during the day?
“Ah Han…I didn’t really mean to reject you this afternoon,” Gu Qingxin tried to explain.
“That’s enough! I don’t want to hear this now! I’ll have my driver take you back.” Beiming Han could not keep calm thinking about how she found him repulsive when they were intimate earlier.
No man could remain indifferent when the woman under him found him repulsive.
“I won’t go back. I’m staying with you.” Frustrated, Gu Qingxin sank into the couch.
“Suit yourself!” Beiming Han went back to his work.
After sitting there for a while, Gu Qingxin started to feel sleepy, her eyelids grew heavy. After all, she had just recovered and it was late. She looked as if she was about to nod off.
Beiming Han couldn’t concentrate on his work anymore. Seeing the girl who looked as though she was about to fall asleep sitting up, he closed the laptop, got up from his chair, walked to the couch, and lifted her up in his arms.
“Ah Han, have you finished?” Gu Qingxin made herself comfortable in his arms and asked.
What on earth was going on with this little thing? One moment she was revolted by him, and now she was seeking him out.
Carrying Gu Qingxin to his resting area, he laid her on the bed, removed her shoes, and covered her up with a blanket.
It was already late, so they’d have to make do for the evening.
About to get up and take a shower, his hand was caught by a soft pair of small hands. He looked down to see Gu Qingxin was wide awake; her big and clueless eyes were staring at him.
“Where are you going?”
“Taking a shower. You can rest assured; I won’t violate you while you’re asleep.” For some unfathomable reason, Beiming Han added this line, but regretted it soon after.
As expected, Gu Qingxin froze for a moment. Beiming Han pulled his hand back and rushed into the bathroom. Once the door was closed, he frowned in vexation.
She’d just started to get better, why did he mention that to her?
Already weary and almost asleep, Gu Qingxin had grabbed him out of instinct. But his comment had now entirely dispelled her sleepiness.
Slowly sitting up, she couldn’t resist glancing at the bathroom door. What did he mean by those words?
Unable to suppress her curiosity, she got off the bed and quietly opened the bathroom door. Beiming Han had already filled the bathtub, and was about to step in after taking off his clothes. He turned his head as the door opened, only to find Gu Qingxin barefoot at the doorway.
