Beiming Han had quickly walked into the kitchen.

“Auntie, let me check your lipid levels.”
Gu Qingxin’s wrist was caught. She turned in surprise to find the man already next to her. Beiming Han looked at her still bleeding finger and took it into his mouth.
“Let go! What will we do if my mom sees?” Gu Qingxin was frantic, nervously glancing outside.
“Where are the band-aids?” Beiming Han asked.
“In the living room.” Gu Qingxin yanked her hand back forcefully.
“Fetch it.” Beiming Han ordered.
“You should go out first. I can wrap it myself.” said Gu Qingxin and then she lowered her head and left the kitchen.
Beiming Han turned back and slightly narrowed his eyes at her. Turning around, he went to the sink, turned on the faucet, and calmly washed his hands.
Seeing her daughter come out, Lin Yin asked, “What happened?”
“Oh, I accidentally cut my finger while chopping the vegetables, it’s nothing serious.” Gu Qingxin found a band-aid and put it on her finger.
“Be more careful.” Lin Yin couldn’t help but advise.
“I know.” Gu Qingxin responded, and when she was returning to the kitchen, Beiming Han was coming out. As they brushed past each other, Beiming Han gently grabbed her hand, his fingertips tracing the palm of her hand.
A tingling sensation hit her, Gu Qingxin’s face was even redder, and her palm began to feel hot.
