Gu Qingxin couldn’t help but look at Beiming Han a few times, hoping he would contain himself and let go of her. However, he was acting as if nothing was happening, continuing to eat his food, and occasionally rubbing his leg against hers. His teasing was palpably provocative.
“Miss Gu, have some vegetables.” Beiming Han very kindly picked a piece of vegetable for her.
“Where do you work, Mr. Bei?” Lin Yin turned to look at Beiming Han. Although he had told her to call him Xiao Bei, his imposing presence was too powerful. Lin Yin could tell that he wasn’t just any ordinary person, so she found it hard to call him Xiao Bei.
“I started a company,” Beiming Han politely replied.

“Mom, I’ve finished eating. You guys take your time. I’m going to cut some fruit in the kitchen.” Gu Qingxin couldn’t sit any longer and rushed into the kitchen.

After the meal, Bai Jingqing and Beiming Han excused themselves. Gu Qingxin said she’d walk them out. Lin Yin bid the two men goodbye at the door and then turned to go back inside.
Lin Yin stood at the door, thinking about Beiming Han’s appearance. She had a strong feeling that this young man seemed awfully familiar.
Gu Qingxin walked Bai Jingqing and Beiming Han to the downstairs. Beiming Han held her and got into the car. Gu Qingxin looked worriedly up at the building, and said anxiously, “What if my mother sees us?”
“If she sees us, so be it. What’s there to worry about?” Beiming Han made her sit on his lap and replied nonchalantly.
“Come home with me.” Beiming Han leaned over and kissed her.
“My mom is not feeling well. I want to stay and accompany her tonight.” Gu Qingxin didn’t have the heart to leave her mom alone at home anymore. Even if she could stay just for one night, it would be better.
“Doctor Bai has already checked her. She’s fine. You staying here won’t make a difference,” Beiming Han replied indifferently.
“How can you say that? I’m her daughter, my presence is a comfort to her.”
Beiming Han frowned at her, silent for a few seconds before asking, “Are you really not coming home with me?”
Suddenly, Beiming Han opened the car door, let her down, and, before she could say anything else, he ordered coldly, “Drive!”
The bodyguard carefully shut the door and the car slowly drove away.
Gu Qingxin opened her mouth, but in the end, she could only watch as Beiming Han’s car drove away.
In the end, only she was left standing there.
This man, can he not speak properly for once?
Returning to the apartment feeling a bit frustrated, Gu Qingxin saw Lin Yin about to wash dishes. She quickly rolled up her sleeves and said, “Mom, let me do it. You go drink some water.”

It was all because of Beiming Han, forcing her to lie to her mother again!

A knock on the door interrupted their thoughts. The mother-daughter pair looked at each other and Lin Yin said, “It might be them. They probably forgotten something. I’ll go answer it.”
