“Whose call was that?” Beiming Han asked.
“The phone repair service, they said Miss Gu’s phone has been repaired. They asked her to collect it when she’s free.” Aunt Zhou honestly replied.
Beiming Han was left stunned there. Her phone broke again?
Didn’t she just buy a new one? When did it break?
“Do you know when her phone broke?” Beiming Han couldn’t help but ask again.
“I think it was last week. Miss Gu complained to me a few times, saying that her new phone was dropped again,” Aunt Zhou recalled and answered.
“Young Master, is there a problem?” Aunt Zhou was worried that they would fight again. She was anxious for them.
“No, instruct someone to fetch her phone now.” With that, Beiming Han headed for the small bedroom where Gu Qingxin was staying.
When Beiming Han arrived at Gu Qingxin’s room, he hesitated for a moment, then pushed the door and walked in. Gu Qingxin was not in the room, but sounds came from the bathroom, presumably she was there. His gaze scanned the room.
He walked over to the bed and saw a drafting board on it, on which was her new clothing design. Beiming Han picked up the board and examined it. Although the clothes were pretty, they clearly lacked innovation, looking similar to those sold in department stores.
Such designs are a dime a dozen. If done by a renowned designer, it would be fine – simple and elegant. But if it’s by a rookie, it won’t catch anyone’s attention and is sure to fail.
When Gu Qingxin came out after washing her hands, she saw Beiming Han standing by her bed, looking at her design.
“Is this your competition entry?” Beiming Han raised the drafting board and asked.
Gu Qingxin nodded, hoping for some advice. However, Beiming Han put it back on the bed without a word.
She felt inexplicably disappointed.
“Your phone broke again?” Beiming Han sat on the bed, his gaze dropped to her backpack, then to the half glass of water on her table. His eyes noticeably dimmed.
She just took her medicine after the deed!
“Yeah, I sent it for repair.”
“The repair service just called. I have sent someone to collect it for you,” Beiming Han said indifferently.
“Oh.” Gu Qingxin responded, standing there awkwardly.
“How did you end up with Rong Qian Chen yesterday?”
Gu Qingxin never expected that he came to ask her this!
“I passed out by the roadside yesterday. He picked me up and took me home!”
From her tone, Beiming Han could tell she was resentful. They locked gazes in silence for a long moment before he finally said, “Stay away from him in the future.”
Gu Qingxin clenched her fist tightly. Did she approach him voluntarily? It was all his fault!
“I need to rest now!”
“Are you trying to kick me out?” Beiming Han’s brows furrowed as well.
“This is my home, I’ll be wherever I want!”
“Then I’ll go to another room!” Gu Qingxin said, reaching for her backpack.
Beiming Han grabbed her arm and pulled her into his embrace. His strong arms encircled her, “You can only sleep in two rooms here, either on the third floor or here. There isn’t a third option!”
“Then I can go home… Mmf!”
Her words were cut off as her mouth was covered. Gu Qingxin was left unable to utter a single word.
