Gu Qingxin took the small bag and looked inside, before glancing at the man beside her and asking, “Why did you suddenly want to buy these?”
He never used to use them before.
At her words, Beiming Han’s expression immediately cooled. He turned back to stare at her and demanded, “You didn’t know?”
What was she supposed to know?
Was he scared that she would get pregnant and create trouble for him?
That made sense—she had always avoided discussing her use of birth control pills with him, so his fears were justified.
Once back at North Garden, Gu Qingxin immediately retreated into her small room.
Beiming Han tossed one of the bags to Aunt Zhou, commanding, “Take this to her room!”
“Alright,” answered Aunt Zhou, unable to resist peaking into the bag. Her face flushed instantly.
Beiming Han took the other bag upstairs, planning to distribute a few boxes in different places to avoid searching for them when needed.
When Aunt Zhou delivered a bag of condoms to Gu Qingxin’s room, Gu Qingxin immediately asked, “Aunt Zhou, why did you bring this!”
“Master ordered me to! He sometimes spends the night here,” she said.
“Do you want me to help you unpack?” Aunt Zhou asked enthusiastically.
“No need, just leave it here.” Gu Qingxin was feeling quite uncomfortable under Aunt Zhou’s gaze.
“Alright, then I’ll be going now. I made some soup, come out and have some later.” Aunt Zhou left with a sunny smile.
Looking at the big bag of condoms, Gu Qingxin resignedly took them out and arranged them neatly in the drawers of her bedside table.
She filled two entire drawers…
Then she escaped to the gym to work out…
When Gu Qingxin entered the gym, she found Ye Qi sitting inside lost in thought. It was only when he heard her open the door did he look over.

When she was finished, Beiming Han walked in. Ye Qi bowed respectfully, “Master.”

Beiming Han looked at the girl wiping sweat off with a towel and said, “Starting tomorrow, teach her some basic self-defense maneuvers.”
“Yes, Master,” Ye Qi nodded in agreement.
“Self-defense? Does that mean, once I learn it, I’ll win fights?” Gu Qingxin was very interested.
The man ignored her goofy question.
“Follow me to the swimming pool.” Beiming Han said before turning around and leaving.
Gu Qingxin waved to Ye Qi before following Beiming Han.
Ye Qi exited the gym, looking back at the retreating figures of the tall and the short one. He turned around and walked in the opposite direction.
At the swimming pool, Beiming Han told Gu Qingxin to go take a warm shower and change into a swimsuit.
By the time she came out, Beiming Han was by the poolside, warming up.
