Huang Jiaxin casually sipped her coffee and sat across from Gu Qingxin, sneering, “I never knew you were so capable! You just joined the crew and you’ve already seduced Ming Shang!”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about! I haven’t seduced anyone.” Gu Qingxin, although not keen on engaging with her, didn’t want to be slandered either.
“Ha! So you haven’t seduced him, and he’s still sticking his neck out for you? Who do you think Ming Shang is? Everyone in the industry knows he’s cold-hearted and never interferes in other people’s affairs! But he defended you by dealing with Manager Yang!” Huang Jiaxin snickered, looking at her.
A frown crept onto Gu Qingxin’s face. Ming Shang dealt with Manager Yang? Wasn’t it Huangfu Ye who did that?
She thought this woman was just making wild speculations!
“You both probably don’t know that this restaurant is members-only, right? I’d suggest you leave before embarrassing yourselves. It would be rather unsightly if you were thrown out.” Huang Jiaxin stood up, her face filled with disdain, looking at them as if they were beneath her.
The waiter came over and said to Gu Qingxin and Bai Qianqian, “I’m sorry for the long wait, ladies, but your private room is ready.”
“Wait a minute, there must be some mistake! I came here first!” Huang Jiaxin incongruously stood up.
“Miss Huang, you have a regular membership card, while these two ladies hold our VIP Black Gold Card, which entitles them to priority.”
The waiter responded calmly. Dining here enforces a hierarchy according to membership tiers!
Huang Jiaxin looked at them in disbelief, her face was flushed, and finally, she curtly said, “What’s so great about that? You probably earned it by sleeping your way up.”
“It’s people like you with dirty minds who would think everyone else is as despicable as you!” Gu Qingxin glared at her irritably and left with Bai Qianqian.
Watching the two of them escorted to the elevator, Huang Jiaxin sat down, more enraged by the minute. She swore to herself she would not let that lowlife get the best of her!
After finishing their meal, Gu Qingxin and Bai Qianqian left the restaurant. They paid less than a hundred yuan, the ridiculously cheap price leaving both of them stunned.
Once the two girls had left, the manager came out, wiping sweat from his forehead he said, “You’d better keep an eye out from now on! If these two ladies come again, take them straight to the VIP room! They shouldn’t have waited, don’t you want to keep your jobs!”
“We apologize, manager. We understand.”
As Gu Qingxin and Bai Qianqian were about to get in their car and leave, a waiter ran out with two gift boxes in his hands and said, “Here are the complimentary gifts from our restaurant. All customers get one, we forgot to give these to you earlier.”
