What’s got into this man? Since when did he started asking for her consent instead of just forcing himself upon her?
“Hmm.” Gu Qingxin softly replied. It was barely audible but to the man lying on top of her, it was a huge encouragement.
Overwhelmed with excitement, Beiming Han intensified his force. Fortunately, it wasn’t as dry as the first time, otherwise, his strength would have been unbearable for her.
The next day, Gu Qingxin secretly salvaged the ointment Min Shang had given her from the trash bin and applied it twice on her hands.
Gu Qingxin didn’t know whether Beiming Han discovered it or not because she always applied it when he wasn’t nearby.
Within just a few days, she felt that the scar on the back of her hand wasn’t as ugly anymore.
On Friday, Gu Qingxin received a call from an unknown number.
She answered the call, and a cold female voice came from the other end, “Tonight at eight, I’ll wait for you at the Shengming Hotel.”
The woman terminated the call right after she finished talking. Gu Qingxin gazed at the “call ended” indication on her phone screen. Did Ye Yingsu call her?
What matter could she possibly have with her?
“Whose call was that? You seem absent-minded.” Bai Qianqian asked, leaning closer.
“That woman? What does she want with you? Don’t go, it can’t be good! She might threaten you to leave Beiming Han.”
“I don’t think so… Perhaps it’s something to do with Xiao Yi. I should go and check it out.”

While Gu Qingxin and Bai Qianqian were conversing, a waiter handed them two cups of coffee, “Ladies, these are complimentary coffees, please enjoy.”
“Thank you.” Bai Qianqian smiled and replied.
As the waiter left, Bai Qianqian, feeling thirsty, took a sip of the coffee. Gu Qingxin, however, did not touch hers. She was never a fan of coffee.
Before long, Bai Qianqian started feeling thirsty and uncomfortably hot, constantly wiping the sweat from her forehead. The heat was so unbearable that it made her want to strip out of her clothes.
“Qianqian, what’s wrong with you?” Noticing her odd behavior, Gu Qingxin nervously grabbed her hand that was tugging at her clothes.
“Qingxin, why do I feel so hot? Are you feeling hot too?” Bai Qianqian uttered with discomfort, her chubby baby face flushing red.
Hot? How could it be hot when the air conditioning was on at this time?
Gu Qingxin noticed the problem and cast her gaze on the cups of coffee on the table. Bad news, the coffee was spiked.
