Destiny Mission of game ‘Star Ring’ Chapter 743

Sun Duoxiang felt an itching curiosity to the extreme.

"Alright already, you guys are really something, I’ll show you, but if anyone blabs, don’t blame me for dealing with him."

Having given it some thought, since it was a reward, Su Mo figured it wouldn’t hurt to show Sun Duoxiang and the others a glimpse, as long as these guys didn’t spill the beans.

"Don’t worry, boss, we definitely won’t,"

Sun Duoxiang responded earnestly.

So Su Mo, in front of Sun Duoxiang, opened the envelope, only to find a very ordinary piece of paper inside.

Taken aback, Su Mo pulled out the paper, unfolded it, and a detailed set of coordinates appeared before their eyes.

"Isn’t this a set of coordinates? Wait a minute, boss, could this be—?"

The look on Sun Duoxiang’s face changed from puzzlement to delight.

Basically, all operating personnel were sensitive to coordinates, since they were the most basic of basics.

Su Mo didn’t need a reminder from Sun Duoxiang; he realized it as soon as he saw them. He quickly folded the paper back up, tucked it into the envelope, and put it away, gesturing to Sun Duoxiang and the others to remain silent.

He finally understood why Karina had cautioned him not to let others know—it was nothing short of favoritism.

Clearly, the coordinates must have been provided by Beilo and her team; it was definitely a resource-rich, lucrative spot.

If others were to see it, even if they dared not say anything, they’d likely feel pretty uncomfortable, for it was an outright preference.

An excited Sun Duoxiang said, "Boss, are we gonna strike it rich?"

"Enough talk. We’ll know once we go and see for ourselves. Just zip your lips,"

Inside, Su Mo was also somewhat thrilled—who could resist the allure of money?

"Okay then, boss, when do we leave?"

Sun Duoxiang and the others nodded eagerly.

"Wait for the notice. I’m not up for chatting anymore, I’m going to take a shower." Latest content published on novel⸺fire.net

Su Mo wasn’t in the mood to keep exercising either.

Sun Duoxiang and the others suppressed the excitement in their hearts.

A moment later, Su Mo returned to his room, opened his wardrobe, and stashed the envelope securely inside one of his jackets, ensuring it was well-hidden before closing the wardrobe.

"Just a set of coordinates, how much profit can they bring."

The deep voice of the Fake Owner, the Swallower, echoed in Su Mo’s head.

"Even the flesh of a mosquito is still flesh, a good start is half the success. Besides, these are proven resource points, the gains are surely substantial,"

Su Mo said, his mood quite buoyant.

"Unless the coordinates point to an Advanced-level resource or an Energy Stone deposit, their yield is probably less than the junk in your room,"

The deep voice of the Fake Owner, the Swallower, intoned.

"For real? Don’t joke with me, how is that possible?"

After hearing what the Fake Owner, the Swallower, had to say, Su Mo grew very curious and walked over to a corner of his room. There, a pile of mechanical wreckage was stored, including that broken, battered heap of metal.

He squatted down and examined the object closely; to tell the truth, he still couldn’t see what was so special about it.

"Humph, do you think I am joking with you? Even if you mined an entire planet’s worth of iron, it would not match the value of that heap of metal once it’s smelted, given the grade of the materials,"

"It’s that valuable? Then how should this thing be handled in order to maximize the benefits?"

Su Mo was taken aback inside; he knew the thing was valuable, but he hadn’t realized it was to such an extent. Good thing Mina, single-mindedly, had brought it to him; otherwise, he would have missed out big time.

"Smelt it into Advanced metal ingots,"

The deep voice of the Fake Owner, the Swallower, replied.

Stroking his chin, Su Mo thought for a moment and said, "Good idea, that’s what I’ll do. Later, I’ll take it to sell in Star Ring City. If it sells, I’ll use the money as startup capital to create something. If not, I’ll just use it myself."

The Fake Owner, the Swallower, scoffed.

"What did I say that’s wrong?"

Su Mo was also taken aback.

"Selling to Star Ring City is like realizing you’ve lost even your pants in the bargain. Do you really think Star Ring City is such a benevolent place, a philanthropist?"

"That’s a bit of an exaggeration,"

"Is there a problem with what I said? Do you really believe that Star Ring City summoned you all here with good intentions? It merely handed a bottle of water to those of you on the verge of dying of thirst in the desert. In its eyes, you are nothing but slaves to be exploited,"

The harsh words of the Fake Owner, the Swallower, stung.

"That’s a bit too much, I know there’s an element of exploitation in what Star Ring City does to us. But at least it gives us a chance, and it hasn’t restricted us forcibly. Not to be rude, but it’s fully capable of truly enslaving us and oppressing us, so at least for now, a sense of gratitude is warranted,"

Su Mo argued nonchalantly.

The Fake Owner, the Swallower, fell silent for a moment, then replied in a heavy voice, "I’ve noticed you’ve changed quite a bit recently, even starting to contradict me."

Su Mo replied with a smile, "Don’t say that, I’m just being fair and talking things out. Besides, we’re well-acquainted by now; you shouldn’t be so petty, right? You wouldn’t want to your choice to be someone who only knows how to flatter, would you? If that were the case, I might as well have recommended you to Mo Baoke, that guy would lick your boots without question."

The Fake Owner, the Swallower, did not respond to Su Mo’s words.

"You’re not really angry, are you?"

Seeing that the Fake Owner, the Swallower, didn’t answer, Su Mo spoke up.

In response, silence still.

Su Mo felt somewhat helpless—this person couldn’t be angry again, could they? Oh, no! He still had many things to ask, and it had been so hard to get a conversation going with this usually reticent individual.
