As David took a stroll, his mind occupied by thoughts, he didn’t realize he was being followed.
He was being followed by an extremely skilled agent in the Late Peak Realm.
Though David right now was just an Early Peak, his senses were sharp enough to know that someone was following him.
But this person was quite skilled, coupled with the fact that David had alot on his mind he didn’t notice him.
David walked all the way up the hill, being followed by this agent.
The agent hid in the massive tree, staring down at David who was also staring down into a compound.
This agent watched the everthing and determined the little girl David was watching had an importance to him.
After David left, this agent immediately went over to his employer to report his findings.
I noticed a folded note pinned to the wall.
"What could it be?" I wondered.
I slowly opened the note.
"If you want her alive, come to the mountain behind the Clan."
Hmmm? who could this be?
"Wrong person maybe?" I say as I squeeze the note and throw it away.
Deep down I knew I was indeed the right person.
"But who could they possibly hold against me?" I thought to myself.
I pulled off my clothes as I sat on my bed.
I already sent Soso away, so it can’t possibly be her.
Yhhh, must be wrong person.
I sat in a lotus position as I tried to cultivate.
"If I keep going I should enter the Mid stage of Early Peak soon." I say to myself as I tried to concentrate.
What if I truly am the one?
Why would they get the person wrong for this kind of stuff?
"But who could they possibly hold against..." I was wondering when it struck me.

I heave a short sigh.

A few minutes went by and here I was, sprinting myself like a fool towards that little village where the girl I don’t really know stayed.
"I’ll just confirm if she really is missing or not, I’ll just go back and cultivate no matter the result, I’m just trying to cure my curiosity that’s it." I say to myself as I enter the village.
As I enter the village I noticed it was not settled.
There was panick everywhere.
This usually quiet village was now in an uproar.
People were running up and down.
It looked like they were all looking for something.
Something prescious to them.
I manage to stop a male and ask him what was going on.
He could barely speak to me.
After a while of calming him down we sit at a spot and he manages to speak to me.
"Children...a lot of children in this village suddenly went missing today." The man said.
Not one child but children?
"What do you mean children suddenly went missing? when did this happen? and how many of the children are missing." I asked him confused.
"Yes the children suddenly went missing.
This happened in the early evening hours.
We noticed this about two hours ago.
All the children aside those who were not in the village at the time went missing." The man narrates.
Two hours ago? that’s about an hour plus after I left here.
Fuck! this really has to do with me.
And to kidnap all the children? What the fuck!
I heave a sigh as I rise to my feet.
"As I said, I’ll return to my place and cultivate in peace." I said to myself.
I’ve cured my curiosity.
Yes it might have been my fault but they wouldn’t kill all of them if I don’t show up.
They’ll probably let them go by tomorrow when they see I don’t care.

"Let’s just return for now." I say to myself as I dash away to my courtyard.
