Dang Ki Ran and Rin walk to the canteen and standing in front of it was Dang Hyuk.
Usually Dang Hyuk greets her first but this time...
"Good Morning Young Master." Dang Ki Ran greets with a little bow and goes over to open up the canteen.
"Oh...oh Good Morning." Dang Hyuk replies, surprised that she greeted him first.
He waits outside for them to finish cleaning up and then goes in to his usual spot.
Business in the canteen goes on as usual and after about three hours, while Dang Hyuk was standing he noticed Rin walking over towards him with a plate of food.
She got to him and happily offered him the plate of food.
He was surprised as he glanced over at Dang Ki Ran whom he caught looking over before she quickly looked away.
He smiles a little, squats down and takes the plate off Rin’s hands and said with a smile;
He places it on the table beside him and goes back to standing.
Rin stands before him and doesn’t leave.
Dang Hyuk looks down at her and she points to the table as if commanding him to take a seat and eat.
He glances over at Dang Ki Ran and again he catches her looking over before looking away.
He smiles and slowly he pulls back one of the chairs surrounding the table and takes a seat.
Hesitantly but eventually he began to eat and Rin climbed up on to another chair.
She asked alot of questions and even after Dang Hyuk had finished eating they spoke for a while.
Eventually Rin left with the plate and Dang Hyuk went back to standing and cultivating.
Time flew and it was time to close.
The shop was closed and they bid their farewells as they went their separate ways.
Over the course of the next one week Dang Hyuk continued going there and little by little he got accepted by Dang Ki Ran.
Though most of the time it was him talking or playing with Rin, Dang Ki Ran would sometimes come and ask him if he needed anything.
Her attitude towards him gradually changed for the better.
Few times they even had a little chat.
One day Dang Ki Ran comes to open the canteen but Dang Hyuk was not there.
"Maybe he woke up late?" She thought to herself.
It has become a kind of routine to always see him there.
She opened the shop and the day went.
Eventually it was time to close and Dang Hyuk didn’t show up.
"Well he is the First Young Master, he shouldn’t really be coming here in the first place, there isn’t any reason for him to come here any longer." Dang Ki Ran thought to herself as she was cleaning up.
She looks over at a covered plate of food and heaves a sigh.
She had kept it for him thinking he would come but he didn’t.
She picked it up not knowing what to do with it when Rin suddenly said;
"Lets go give it to Big brother."
"I dont think we should..." Dang Ki Ran tried avoiding her suggestion.
"Why not, I’m sure big brother would be really happy." Rin says.
Dang Ki Ran remains silent for a while and then heaves a sigh.
Deep down she also wanted to check him out.
"Ok ok, I don’t think we would be allowed but let’s just try." Dang Ki Ran says.
They pick up the food, package it, lock up and began heading towards the courtyard of The First Young Master.
They get there and there are two guards standing at the gate.
They try to seek out Dang Hyuk or at least let what they brought be delivered but they are denied.
"We just want to see big brother Hyuk why are you stopping us!" Rin suddenly yells at the guards annoyed at their attitude.
Dang Ki Ran was about to take Rin and leave when...
"And who do you think you are calling big brother, little rat? you? of no status? want to be a sister to the Young Master? has the Dang Family fallen so low?" One of the guards mocks them.
Dang Ki Ran got annoyed.
"Hey, don’t you dare speak to my daughter that way." Dang Ki Ran said as she walked up into the face of the guard.
"Or what? what are you going to do about it?" The guard responds.
"Hey, hey, hey you two should calm down." The other guard tries to calm them both down but they ignore him.
They both now stood right in front of each other, eyes locked, tension high.
The guard had a smirk on his face.
Dang Ki Ran looked like she could strike at any point.
I sit shirtless in a lotus position in the middle of my courtyard sweating.
There were needles floating round about me and poison in jars seated around me.
I’ve not been able to cultivate properly since I’ve been going to see Dang Ki Ran and little Rin.
I don’t want to stop seeing them but I need to focus on my cultivation.
"I guess I’ve gotten attached." I said to myself with a little smile.
Hmmm, I’ve been trying to concentrate but what is with all the ruckus outside.
It’s been distracting me for a while now.
I ignore it for a while but it seemed to be getting heated and I also couldn’t fully concentrate so I decided to go check it out.
I stop my practice and the needles floating round me drops to the ground.
I get to my feet and begin walking towards the gate of the courtyard.
Getting closer I hear a voice, a familiar voice.
"What is going one here..." I say as I open the gate just to see before me one of my guards standing so close to Dang Ki Ran like he was about to get into a fight with her and Rin scared at the back.
What the hell is going on here?
