Dang Hyuk was speaking with Dang Ki Ran when the door of the canteen suddenly flew open.
They both look towards the door and storming in was Dang Soha.
"Oh shit!" Dang Hyuk utters as he sees her coming for him.
Ahhh fuck, here’s my retribution.
Sister walks all the way and stops right in front of me.
Dang Ki Ran greets her but she ignores her.
Her face was completely expressionless but after spending eighteen years on this world with her, to survive I’ve learnt to read her vibe and body language to at least be able to tell her mood.
Most of the time I can’t but when she’s angry I can, and now, I can feel it.
I stood there raising my bruised hands covered up with bandages to try and explain to her.
Suddenly she raises her hand and I immediately try to block but she just gently grabs my hand.
Slowly she began to roll open the bandage.
I tried saying something to her but a single glare from her shut my mouth.
She unveils my bruised fist from the fight of yesterday night.
She quickly pulls me to the side and sits me down.
She squats down before me and pulls out an ointment and gently applies it on the bruises.
The Dang Clan are known to be Martial Artists who use light weapons like daggers and needles.
We don’t use swords or spears or blades so the skin of our palm is mostly soft and not thick like those who use such weapons.
We don’t use fist or palm techniques so the skin of our hands are basically softer than most Martial Artists of the same rank.
So me using my fist against that guard was actually a dumb approach but, I don’t think using weapons would have gotten my anger out like using my fists.
When Dang Ki Ran sees the injury she showed concern.
She came closer but as she drew nearer my sister glares at her.
She stands up and was about to approach Dang Ki Ran.
From her vibe I could tell she was going to attack her.
I quickly stopped her saying;
"No no no, it wasn’t her, it wasn’t her fault."
It’s been a while since I saw this side of my sister I almost forgot how overprotective she can be.
She once threatened to kill off an entire family of a Second Rate Clan just because I got injured when I was bullied by a child of theirs
She didn’t threaten with her words, she barely said a word, she acted and actually threatened their lives with her actions.
She was around fourteen then while I was ten.
Hmmm? what’s this that I feel?
My hand was grabbing something soft.
I look at the hand I had used to stop my sister and I see my hand on her breast.
"Ahhh, I am so fucked." I thought to myself.
And of course, before I could say anything she knocks me out cold with a back hand swing.
Apparently she walked out immediately after leaving the ointment on the table.
I wake up laying in a room behind the counter.
As I open my eyes and try to sit up I feel the pain on my jaw.
Just as she is over protective, she can be really hard sometimes.
After coming out of my thoughts I see Rin standing beside me.
"Are you ok big brother?" She asks.
"Yes, yes I am, thank you Rin." I say with a smile.
She runs out the door and some seconds later Dang Ki Ran comes in looking a little worried, not really bothered.
"Are you okay?" She asks.
"Yes I am, thank you very much." I reply with a smile as I try getting up but I feel her hand on my to right shoulder stoping me.
"Stay here and rest for a while, you were knocked out cold." She says almost mockingly.
It looked like she found the scenerio funny and she was trying not to laugh in my face.
"I’ll bring you something to eat." She says as she walks out the door.
A few moments later Rin brings me a plate of food.
I eat and time goes by.
Dang Ki Ran was busy with her business so I was mostly with Rin.
I thought sister came to scold me for beating up my guard but she didn’t.
She was probably also angry about that but she said nothing.
Beating up the guard for no good reason would cause some trouble.
She’s probably going to try and help me sort it out again.
She always does this even though I never ask for it.
I want to become a better person for her.
As Rin kept me company I suddenly heard a ruckus outside.
I heard someone mention my name at least twice.
I quickly go outside to figure out the situation and I see two males harassing the stewards.
They were throwing food on the ground saying it tasted like trash and insulting the stewards.
Dang Ki Ran was also there trying to tell them to stop.
This two were the two disciples of the Second Elder.
Why did they come here to cause trouble?
"Hey, what are you two doing?" I ask as I walked over to them.
"Oh? so you were actually here Dang Hyuk?
What exactly are you looking for in this slum of a place? Have you now fallen to their level?" The older one Dang Lu says mocking me.
"Where I go and what I do is none of your business, why are you here?" I question them.
"Well as our ’Young Master’ we can’t have you hanging around in such a shabby environment now can we?" Dang Lu says.
"Hey, watch your words." I warn him.
"Are you really going against us for this bunch of low class peasa..." Dang Hae, the younger one was speaking when I interrupted him.
"I told you to watch your words." I say again annoyed, my voice deep and low.
Dang Ki Ran came between us trying to calm us down.
"Ok why don’t you guys just..." She tried saying but Dang Lu hits her away.
She stumbles over a chair and falls.
Rin quickly runs over to her mother.
Watching this happen I couldn’t contain anger anymore.
