Devilish secretary Chapter 139

Lilith slipped into the dress her human doll had chosen for her, feeling the cool, silky fabric mold to her curves perfectly. It was as if the dress had been crafted with only her in mind–elegant yet dangerously seductive. The material caressed her skin, the low-dipped back held together by thin, crisscrossing straps that left just enough of her exposed to tease yet maintain an air of grace.

She stepped in front of the mirror, her piercing blue eyes locking onto her reflection. Her long, luscious dark hair cascaded freely down her back, framing her face like silk spun from shadows. The soft lighting in the room accentuated the natural glow of her skin, making her look ethereal, almost otherworldly.

A small smirk curled at her lips as she trailed her fingers down her arm, feeling the luxurious texture of the fabric.

But as she continued to admire her reflection, her thoughts drifted somewhere else... somewhere she hadn’t dared to go before.

Her face.

Though it was the same as in her past life, she could tell, it was changing, becoming even more mesmerizing, as if her true self was slowly blending into this human form. Her devilish essence was settling in, shaping the body to match the soul.

A flicker of unease crept into her heart.

If her appearance was evolving... did that mean her parents in this life would look like her past ones?

The thought made her heartbeat stutter. Would she find them? Would they recognize her? Would they even be alive?

Her hands clenched at the sides of the vanity as she let out a slow, steady breath. No. She couldn’t allow herself to think that way. Not now. Not yet.

She turned her gaze toward her buddy, the skeleton sitting quietly on her bed.

Its hollow sockets stared back at her, almost as if it understood the storm swirling inside her.

"If that’s the case... then..." she whispered, brushing her fingers over the cool surface of the vanity table before straightening her posture.

Enough distractions.

Tonight wasn’t about the past.

Tonight, she had an event to attend.

Shaking off her thoughts, Lilith grabbed her phone and opened the camera. She stood before the mirror, tilting her head slightly, letting the soft lighting cast an alluring glow on her face.

She wasn’t an expert in photography, but she knew enough to capture the right angles. Click.

The first picture came out surprisingly well. Her piercing blue eyes gleamed with mystery, her dark hair flowing effortlessly down her back, accentuating the elegance of the silver dress.

Click.

She shifted her pose, placing one hand on her hip, tilting her chin slightly. The camera captured the way the silky fabric hugged her body perfectly, emphasizing her curves while still maintaining an air of grace.

Click.

Lilith smirked at her reflection, lifting the phone higher to capture a more playful angle. She looked effortlessly stunning. Even though her skills were just average, her natural beauty and the striking effect of the dress made every picture look professional.

After taking a few more, she scrolled through them. Each one had a different mood, a smirk here, a sultry glance there, a softer, more mysterious gaze in another.

Satisfied, she quickly sent a few pictures to her human doll with a simple message:

[Lilith: Here. As per your demand, Human Doll. Hope you like them.*+4 images*]

She smirked, already knowing the kind of reaction she’d get from him.

Just as Lilith finished adjusting her dress, the doorbell rang.

She opened the door to find Nova and Ava standing there, both completely frozen, their eyes widening as they took her in.

Ava let out a dramatic gasp. "Lilith... girl, you’re on fire!" she whistled, looking her up and down.

Nova blinked before giving her a small smile. "You look stunning," he said sincerely.

Lilith smirked, crossing her arms. "You two aren’t looking bad yourselves either."

"Hehe, of course!" Ava laughed, flipping her hair.

Ava was wearing a gorgeous long red gown that hugged her figure perfectly, her long lashes accentuated with mascara, and her lips painted a bold red. She looked absolutely breathtaking.

Nova, on the other hand, looked sharp in a white suit, exuding the charm of a gentleman.

"Alright, let’s get going!" Ava said excitedly, reaching for Lilith’s hand to drag her out.

"Hold on, at least let me grab my heels and purse," Lilith rolled her eyes, stepping back inside while the two laughed and made themselves comfortable.

She quickly slipped on her heels, grabbed her purse, and checked her reflection one last time. She hadn’t applied much makeup–just a bit of cream and a bold red lipstick to match her look.

Once ready, the three of them headed outside. Ava slid into the passenger seat while Nova got into the driver’s seat, Lilith settled into the back seat.

As they settled in the car, Nova adjusted the rearview mirror and smirked. "Lilith, are you sure you’re not planning to steal the show tonight? Because I swear, you look like a goddess descending to ruin some men’s sanity."

Lilith rolled her eyes but smirked. "I always ruin them in one way or another."

Ava laughed, flipping her hair dramatically. "I love this confidence. But seriously, Lilith, you should do this more often. You’re usually so chill, but today? You look like a femme fatale."

Nova started the car, smoothly pulling out of the parking area. "Alright, buckle up, ladies. The night is young, and we’re about to crash the most elite event in town."

Lilith leaned back, crossing her legs. The silver dress shimmered every time the streetlights passed through the car window. She finally grabbed her phone and saw a new message from her human doll.

[Human doll: Lili... you’re testing my self-control. I’ll make you pay for this when I’m back. ]

She smirked, typing back quickly.

[Lilith: Good things come to those who wait, my dear Human Doll.]

She could almost imagine him running a hand through his hair in frustration.

Putting the phone aside, she looked out of the window, her mind shifting to the night ahead. The Lake event was known to be filled with celebrities, socialites, and the wealthiest people in the city. It was the perfect place for networking, drama... and maybe even a little chaos.
