Devilish secretary Chapter 50

Nora went home with her best friend, who was driving her back to her house. Lilith stayed back in the room with Nova and Ava. Since there was only one bedroom, she planned to sleep on the sofa.

However, her thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door. She was irritated, but still opened it, only to find one of her female coworkers standing there.

The woman looked at her with wide eyes, trying to control her emotions. "Thanks, Lilith, for what happened today. We were planning to relax, but didn’t expect this to happen... And I wanted to thank you. I also brought some comfortable clothes for you. I heard you’re taking care of Nova and Ava... here." She handed Lilith an aesthetic brown bag with no logo.

Lilith stared at the woman, her gaze sharp and focused. The woman couldn’t bring herself to meet Lilith’s eyes, instead glancing nervously at the ground, clearly intimidated by her presence. Before Lilith could say anything, the woman quickly turned and ran away, disappearing down the hall.

Lilith closed the door and looked inside the bag.

Inside, she found a long nightdress and another set of clothes—elegant and high quality, with fabric that felt soft to the touch.

Just as she was about to put the clothes aside and get some rest, another knock interrupted her. This time, she was beyond irritated. She really just wanted to sleep. Sighing deeply, Lilith headed back to the door.

It was the bar manager who Lilith had seen earlier, the one who had come to handle the situation.

He stood in the doorway, a flattering smile on his face as he nervously greeted her. "Miss Lilith, thank you so much for handling everything tonight. I’ve heard you’re taking care of your friends here, so to make things more convenient for you, I’ve arranged a room next to this one. It’s connected by a door, and I’ve got the keys for you," he said, holding out two keys toward her.

Lilith narrowed her eyes, her expression sharp as she studied him for a moment. The bar manager couldn’t help but feel his nerves intensify. He had never felt such a piercing gaze from a woman before. He didn’t expect such a common woman to possess such a strong and sharp aura.

He wiped the sweat off the back of his neck, unsure of how to proceed. "It’s just a little something to make your stay more comfortable, Miss Lilith," he added, hoping she’d take the offer.

Lilith took the keys without a word, her eyes still locked on him. She didn’t say anything to him.

With a simple nod, she turned and closed the door behind her. The manager stood there for a moment, frozen in place, unsure whether she had accepted his offer or not.

However, he turned back and walked toward the corner, where a tall man strode out from the shadows. His eyes were slightly brighter now, and he nodded at the manager.

Mark gave Him a flattering smile and handed him a card. Without hesitation, the man took it from his hand.

As Sebastian ray turned away, a naughty smirk appeared on his face, and cute dimples showed up, though sadly no one was there to see them.

Whistling a cheerful tune, he swiped the keycard to open the room. The lights flickered on for a moment before he swiftly turned them off again, making the room dark and quiet. He glanced at the door between the walls before striding toward the bed.

With a playful flair, he laid down on the bed, one hand behind his head, the other resting casually across his chest. His eyes closed, the corners of his lips curled into a content smile.

Sure enough, he heard a soft click in the darkness.

The faint sound of footsteps approached the bed, steady and deliberate.

Still lying down, Sebastian furrowed his brows, feeling a twinge of irritation. With a slight groan, he reached out lazily to the side table, fumbling for the light switch. His fingers brushed against the button, and with a sharp click, the room was bathed in warm light.

Blinking against the sudden brightness, he propped himself up with one arm, still half-reclined on the bed. His legs were stretched out casually, and his suit was slightly rumpled from lying down. His free hand pushed his dark hair back as his sharp gaze focused on the figure standing nearby.

Lilith stood a few steps from the bed, arms folded neatly across her chest, her brow raised in a mix of amusement and mild disapproval. The sharp glint in her eyes made her look unshakable, but the slight curve of her lips softened her expression.

Sebastian’s lips quirked into a lopsided grin, his signature dimples appearing as he sat up straighter on the bed. He swung his legs over the side, letting them dangle casually, and leaned forward with his elbows resting on his knees.

"Sir, are you drunk again?" Lilith asked, a playful smile tugging at her lips as she tilted her head slightly.

Sebastian tilted his head back with a soft chuckle. "How do you always know?" he asked, his deep voice laced with humor.

Lilith’s eyes narrowed at his teasing tone, but before she could respond, he stood up in one smooth motion. Towering over her, his confident smirk deepened as he stepped closer, his hands casually sliding into his pockets.

Her gaze followed his movement, but as he leaned in slightly, she turned her head to the side, clearly unbothered by his attempt to close the distance. "You don’t exactly hide it well, Sir," she said with a raised brow, her voice calm.

"Hmm..." Sebastian ray tapped his chin thoughtfully, his grin widening into something wickedly charming. His sharp gaze didn’t waver from Lilith as if he was enjoying a private joke.

"Sir!" Lilith’s voice carried both amusement and mockery as she raised a brow. "Don’t tell me you sent the manager just to get me into your room," she teased, a sly smile playing on her lips.

"And you figured it out," Sebastian replied smoothly, taking a deliberate step closer, his grin turning slightly mischievous. His dimples deepened as his voice dropped a notch, filled with playful audacity. "Now that you’re here... I’m planning to get you into my bed."
