Red Spirit, in its excitement, immediately floated before Carlos after hearing its master’s call:

Carlos had a sinking feeling but patiently guided:
"Don’t shout ’wah’—speak the language I’m speaking now."
Red Spirit was confused and didn’t get it.
One of Red Spirit’s predecessors was the Fire Spirit.
This type of creature born from the spirit realm’s source ocean instinctively relied on soul fluctuations to transmit information—the concept of language didn’t exist between them.
Essentially, the current Red Spirit couldn’t understand any language, including the human common language Carlos spoke.
It understood Carlos’s transmitted meaning through the soul fluctuations Carlos gave off while speaking.
Actually, Carlos didn’t need to speak at all, or even issue commands through soul links.
Just thinking strongly would let Red Spirit sense soul fluctuations and figure out their meaning.
This was also why Red Spirit had repeatedly gotten ready before Carlos voiced commands.
As for the "wah" Red Spirit kept calling, it was actually because in the deep spirit realm area where it had always lived, a species of interdimensional void crows nested there.
"Wah wah" was their daily call.
Due to long-term exposure to void crow calls, the juvenile Red Spirit had learned to wah-wah call out of playfulness.
Through their soul link, Carlos learned his hopes were shot down.
But he immediately realized Red Spirit’s ability to sense soul fluctuation information was pretty remarkable and extremely useful.
"It can be used to see through human hearts!"
Expressions could be faked, words could be made up, proof could be forged.
But Red Spirit completely bypassed these, directly sensing instinctive soul fluctuations.
This was undoubtedly a good interrogation method, even capable of digging into certain creatures’ deep secrets!
Generally, creatures without specific defenses in this area wouldn’t realize their thoughts could leak.
"Perfect for getting to the bottom of that investigator’s true thoughts."
Once the investigator’s background was confirmed, whether she spoke truth or lies, Carlos could handle her accordingly.
If she really had no problems, he’d naturally let her go. If she had bad intentions, he’d eliminate her directly.
This way Purple Vortex wouldn’t need to keep watching her and could return to Carlos’s side.

Though Red Spirit’s predecessor, Redrose Shield Guard #1, had no problems whatsoever, the Fire Spirit’s spirituality truly couldn’t bear it.
However, if Carlos forcibly commanded, Red Spirit would definitely obediently enter.
Considering Red Spirit’s feelings, Carlos slowly said:
"Not going in is also fine, but... you must stay put by my side."
Red Spirit began rapidly rotating around its master as flames on its body danced joyfully.
As for having to stay by master’s side always, Red Spirit automatically ignored this.
Because it already wanted to keep circling its master anyway!
Carlos immediately called halt. Red Spirit hit the brakes sharply.
Wings flapped with storm enhancement.
Carlos became a golden streak of light and rapidly departed!
Red Spirit reacted, immediately shooting flames from behind:
Rumbling, it gave chase!
One golden, one red—they quickly vanished in the sky...
Before long, several groups of Psionics successively arrived at the Pure White Salt Lands:
A terrible sight entered their eyes.
The originally rolling salt hills had completely vanished, replaced by a massive deep crater.
Just standing at the crater’s edge, the leftover scorching heat still caused them waves of pain.
Looking around, they couldn’t see the end.
Inside the crater were actually vitrified deep salt blocks, fused into one solid piece that sparkled with multicolored light under sunlight.
Experienced Psionics widened their eyes in disbelief.
This terrifying crater had definitely been melted by extremely terrifying high temperatures!
"What fearsome flames!!!"

The current glass crater was the result of those terrifying flames’ rampage.
"What monster in the Desolate Desert could cause such terrible attacks!"

What if the monster that created this crater was still inside?
