Barossa pointed forward, waiting for Carlos to give the word.
"Barossa, you take care of locking down the perimeter.
I’ll handle what’s inside personally."
Barossa waved his hand, and the soldiers broke into groups, starting to circle around from different angles.
After getting these garrison troops sorted out, Carlos realized that woman had actually vanished into thin air!
He could tell that woman was definitely trouble.
Even though Barossa had grabbed his attention, he hadn’t noticed when she’d slipped away.
On a dead tree next to the main road perched a red-eyed crow, staring hard at Carlos in the distance:
Luckybe’s heart was going absolutely wild.
She’d actually stumbled across a noble soul with the goods to become a Demon King!
"Our clan... our clan can finally... finally birth a real Demon King!"
Luckybe was buzzing with excitement.
For the Black Sinner clan, nothing could be more important than this!
"Gotta, gotta get word to Lord Withered!"
The red-eyed crow spread its wings and took off like a shot in a certain direction...
"That creepy feeling’s gone."
Carlos’s gaze landed on the distant dead tree.
His gut told him something had been watching him from over there.
"Master Carlos, we’ve got the Golden Sand Society completely boxed in."
A messenger showed up to report.
Carlos looked away. Right now, the main thing was wiping out the Golden Sand Society.
Eleven badass Purple Thornblade Shield Guards and eleven Redrose Shield Guards materialized on the ground.
"Purple Vortex, take the Purple Thornblade Shield Guards and hit the front door!"
Purple Vortex threw off its black robe, showing off black-red flesh as a terrifying aura spread out.
It led eleven Purple Thornblade Shield Guards charging forward!
"Red Spirit, take the Redrose Shield Guards and hit the back door!"
In a flash, the black robe went up in flames. Red Spirit shot into the sky as eleven Redrose Shield Guards turned into streaks of red light, charging off in another direction!
Carlos hung back outside, waiting.
Originally he’d planned to jump into the fight to speed up the cleanup, but that weird woman and the feeling of being watched made him play it safe.
"A dinky Golden Sand Society is making me feel like I’m in the eye of the storm."
Purple light blazed across the sky, flames swallowed everything.
Twenty-two fierce Shield Guards, led by the two big shots Purple Vortex and Red Spirit, smashed into the Golden Sand Society.
"Did the monster horde bust through the city walls!!!"
Total chaos erupted immediately.
Terrifying killing intent blocked both the front and back exits.
Golden Sand Society members freaked out—they had no clue what the hell was going down.
At the same time, several garrison soldiers grabbed alchemical amplifiers and started yelling:
"The Golden Sand Society’s been working with the Black Poison Faction—their crimes are off the charts!
By Commander Marin’s orders, we’re busting all members!
Anyone who fights back! We’ll kill ’em on the spot!"
This announcement immediately set off a firestorm:
"What! We’ve been working with the Black Poison Faction?"
"This is bogus! I don’t know jack about this!"
"Oh crap! Our cover’s blown!
Brothers, get the hell out of here!!!"
"Take them down! Break through!!!"
In a heartbeat, the Golden Sand Society split right down the middle.
One group was totally blindsided by this news, just standing there like deer in headlights.
The other group, knowing getting caught meant game over, immediately tried to bolt and rushed the Shield Guards at the doors...
The Shield Guards’ cold soul flames flickered as razor-sharp great swords sliced through the air:
Within seconds, the charging Golden Sand Society members got chopped to pieces, body parts flying everywhere, blood painting the walls.
Suddenly, dead silence.
Those actually mixed up in the Black Poison Faction deal were scared out of their minds.
These skeleton monsters weren’t something bottom-feeder members like them could handle!
"Officers, do something!"
"President! Where the hell’s the president?"
The Golden Sand Society officers looked grim as death.
As Salimo’s right-hand men, they obviously knew the Golden Sand Society had been in bed with the Black Poison Faction.
They’d even gotten their hands dirty to different degrees.
If they actually gave up, they’d be stone-cold dead for sure!
The only silver lining was that the garrison commander hadn’t shown up himself.
That gave them a slim chance of getting out alive.
"When did the garrison get a Death Herald master!"
The officer following the Death Herald pathway recognized these fierce skeleton monsters as souped-up skeleton soldiers, feeling completely screwed.
Their mid-tier strength actually picked up serious danger vibes from these things.
Especially those two freaky monsters giving off terrifying auras that were actually thicker than the president’s!!!
"Can’t drag this out. The longer we wait, the more likely garrison heavyweights will show up!"
The officers were getting antsy. After exchanging looks, they immediately decided to make a break for it together!
"Dark Sand Strangulation!!!"
"Thousand Sand Spikes!"
They all attacked toward the back at once!
In their minds, the garrison’s announcement came from the front door.
Outside the front door, nine times out of ten the main garrison forces were waiting.
Only the back door was a softer target!
Plus, the ’monster’ leading the back looked puny.
Even though it was acting all high and mighty, it seemed weaker than the one at the front door!
As the Golden Sand Society officers closed in, Red Spirit instantly read everything from their soul vibes.
This made it see red on the spot!
Blazing red flames exploded like a bomb.
In an instant, the whole sky changed color.
Scorching seas of fire painted the entire sky red.
Fire dragons danced, flame serpents roared, diving toward the ants who dared to underestimate it!
Terrifying heat waves rolled forward, rushing ahead!
The Golden Sand Society officers went white with fear:
"What... what the hell is this!!!"
"Get back, get back!!!"
Too late to run. The terrifying fire dragons and flame serpents packed serious heat, instantly melting them down!
The sea of fire kept going strong, covering the entire Golden Sand Society overhead, like it was about to drop any second and torch everything!
Facing a life-or-death situation, Golden Sand Society members hit the deck in droves.
"Don’t... don’t waste me! I don’t know squat!"
"I just joined the Golden Sand Society today!
This has nothing to do with me!"
Even those members who’d been mixed up with the Black Poison Faction gave up on trying to escape.
Sure, getting caught meant lights out, but running meant getting fried right here and now!
