However, when Archie Summers turned and saw who had arrived, a flash of surprise crossed his eyes, and then his entire face turned red.
’Those three earlier? You call *them* beautiful? *This* woman is what you call beautiful!’
But for some reason, seeing this beautiful woman gave him a strange sense of familiarity, though he couldn’t quite place it.
’Whatever. When it came to beautiful women, he had one simple rule: accept all comers and never let a single one get away!’
So, acting like a perfect gentleman, he extended his hand and flashed a smile. "Hello, beautiful. My name is Archie Summers. If you don’t mind, how about we become friends?"
Hearing this, Mika Summers’s face instantly darkened. "Could you say that again?" ’Trying to pick up his own sister? Unbelievable! Just incredible! He was just chewing me out on the phone for not recognizing his voice, and now here he is, with his own sister standing right in front of him, and he has no idea who I am.’
"Um, my name is Archie Summers. If you don’t mind, let’s be friends." The smile on Archie Summers’s face was a little stiff, but he wasn’t the type to be easily intimidated. So, he gave an awkward laugh and said it again.
The corners of Mika Summers’s mouth twitched, and a glint flashed in her eyes. She curled her lips into a small smile and took her brother’s hand. "Hello, my name is Mika Summers. In the days to come, I’ll be in your care, Mr. Summers!"
"—" Just as Mika Summers expected, her brother’s body went completely stiff the moment he heard her words.
However, one of the three beautiful women heard this and said cattily, "Archie Summers? Mika Summers? What a coincidence, you even have the same last name. You weren’t brother and sister in a past life, were you?" After she spoke, all three women started laughing.
Listening to them, Archie Summers was so mortified he just wanted to find a hole to crawl into and disappear.
His expression rigid, he pointed a finger at Mika Summers and scolded her, "Mika Summers, are you messing with your big brother?" One could only imagine how awkward it was to try and pick up your own sister...
"Bro, you can’t blame me for this. You’re the one who didn’t recognize me, okay?" Mika Summers gave a helpless shrug.
Archie Summers was the type of person who was naturally thick-skinned. No matter how embarrassing a situation was, he’d only feel awkward for a few seconds before tossing it to the back of his mind.
Now, he had completely lost that defeated look from before. Pfft—okay, fine, it was an *embarrassed* look.
He threw an arm around Mika Summers’s shoulder and demanded menacingly, "Spill it. Where did you get plastic surgery? How did you end up looking like this?"
Mika Summers struggled out of her brother’s embrace. "Plastic surgery? Bro, is that any way to talk to your own sister?" ’He’s actually accusing me of getting plastic surgery? I don’t even know where a plastic surgery clinic is, okay?’
Archie Summers didn’t believe his sister’s words for a second. He pinched her chin and inspected it closely. "Yes, there is! Now tell me, where did you get the work done? How did you change so much? You’re not cute at all anymore, not the least bit adorable."
"Bro, I didn’t get plastic surgery, alright? I just grew up, alright! I can’t have a baby face for my entire life, you know!" Listening to her brother, Mika Summers was utterly speechless.
"What’s wrong with a baby face? I think it’s great." Archie Summers was clearly ignoring the part about her "growing up."
"Bro, do you really want me to be 25 years old with the face of an 11 or 12-year-old??"
"I guess you have a point..." Hearing his sister’s words, Archie Summers suddenly felt awkward.
Being 25 with the face of an 11 or 12-year-old would indeed be a bit mortifying.
Mika Summers stepped away from Archie Summers. Looking at the women behind him, she said with a meaningful smile, "But my brother hasn’t changed one bit." ’He’s still the same master at picking up girls as he always was.’
