Cassian Jennings was driving when he suddenly let out a series of sneezes. He reached up to touch his nose, looking bewildered and innocent. ’What’s going on? Who’s thinking about me?’
Hearing what Tristan said, Amelia Avery shivered in fear, but she still raised her head and said stubbornly, "How is it impossible? Tristan, Cassian listens to you more than anyone. Can you please help me? Please just get Cassian to accept me, okay?"
She wouldn’t be afraid even if everyone said she and Cassian Jennings were impossible, but Tristan’s words alone terrified her. In their group, everyone listened to Tristan, even her own brother.
Seeing Amelia Avery actually start begging Tristan just to be with Cassian Jennings, Mika Summers got angry. She grabbed Amelia’s arm and said, "Don’t ask him. Even if you beg him, he won’t help you." That Tristan Grayson was a cold-blooded, ruthless person. ’If he helps someone, pigs will fly.’
Tristan Grayson had been about to directly tell Amelia Avery, "You two aren’t a good match."
But now, hearing that woman bad-mouth him, he spoke without a second thought. "At the end of November, Cassian Jennings will be interning at LK Company. If you’re interested, you can come too."
"Really?" Amelia Avery immediately stopped sobbing and looked at Tristan Grayson in front of her in surprise.
"Mhm," Tristan Grayson nodded, not saying anything more.
But it was enough to leave both women in the car completely stunned.
Mika Summers looked at Tristan Grayson, her brow furrowing deeper and deeper. ’Have pigs really started to fly?’
Today, she understood Tristan Grayson less and less.
After all, she and this Tristan Grayson person had known each other for over three years. She’d thought she understood him very well, but now it seemed she didn’t understand him at all.

Amelia Avery’s original distress vanished into thin air the moment she heard Tristan would let her intern at the company.

Soon, Tristan Grayson dropped Amelia Avery off at her home.
Only after Tristan Grayson’s car had left did Cassian Jennings drive up to the gate of the Avery Family’s villa.
He leaned back in his car seat, watching as that girl obediently went inside, and only then did he leave, relieved.
In truth, he didn’t even know what he was doing there, knowing full well that Tristan would get her home safely.
On the way back, the atmosphere in the car was especially quiet.
Neither of them said a word.
One drove in silence, while the other leaned against the window with her eyes closed, lost in thought.
「Half an hour later, Regalia Fields.」
The moment the car stopped, Mika Summers threw open the door and bolted.
The whole way back, she had felt so suffocated she could have died.
When Tristan Grayson saw that this woman didn’t even wait for him after getting out of the car, his anger skyrocketed. He slammed the car door shut and stalked in her direction.
Mika Summers opened the door to her apartment and, without even looking to see if anyone had followed, was about to swing it shut.
Seeing this, Tristan Grayson reached out and caught the door.
Hearing no sound of the door closing, Mika Summers turned around in confusion. The sight made her freeze. "What are you doing here?"
Seeing Mika Summers’s reaction, Tristan Grayson gave a scornful laugh and said in a cold voice, "Heh... What’s this... you don’t want to see me?"
"I’m tired. I don’t want to fight with you." ’That’s right, I don’t want to see him. I really don’t. Today has been exhausting enough, so why can’t he just give me a moment of peace?’
However, Tristan Grayson would never act according to her wishes. He gave a cool smirk and added, "Perfect. I’m tired too, and I don’t want to fight with you either."
