When Tristan Grayson saw her point at a black outfit without a second thought, not even a proper look, his temper instantly flared.
Thinking of that night she went to pick up Archie Summers, wearing a bright red trench coat and looking so incredibly alluring, his anger surged uncontrollably.
’When has she ever worn bright colors when she’s with me?’
’Is she really that unwilling to be with me?’
Feeling a pang of jealousy, Tristan Grayson said to a nearby sales associate, "Take every red, pink, yellow, and blue style you have in the store, pair them with matching pants, and get me a set of each in this lady’s size."
"Right away, Mr. Grayson."
Hearing Tristan Grayson, Mika Summers turned her head and looked at him in confusion. "What’s wrong with you? I just want that one outfit." ’Besides, even if I was going to buy clothes, there’s no need to get a set of everything.’
"Don’t you think your closet is a bit bare?" Tristan Grayson asked, his eyes narrowed and his voice dangerously low with displeasure.
Mika Summers frowned in confusion. "Bare?" ’I might not have as many clothes as Tiana, but I still have plenty to wear.’
Tristan Grayson continued to stare her down. "Is there nothing you want to say to me?"
"Is there something I’m supposed to say to you?" ’He’s being so weird...’
"Heh... Good. I hope you’ll have nothing to say to me in the future, either. Otherwise, you know the consequences," Tristan Grayson chuckled mockingly.
Mika Summers was getting angry too. Pouting, she muttered under her breath, "Tristan Grayson, I swear, you’re insane!" ’It’s just clothes! If he wants to buy them, then let him. What else do I need to say???’
At that moment, the sales associate approached her, having already gathered complete, matching outfits for all the red, pink, yellow, and blue styles. "Miss, if you’ll please come with me."
Mika Summers nodded and followed her. The sales associate took her measurements, bagged up the correctly sized clothes, and then said to her with a smile, "Miss, Mr. Grayson treats you so well."
"Heh, you think so?" ’Treats me well? I really don’t see it.’
The sharp-eyed sales associate spotted the red mark on her neck. She gave Mika a mysterious wink and said, "Of course he does. Mr. Grayson is so good to you, miss. You must be very happy. Yes, I can tell just by looking at you how happy you are."
’Happy? What in the world is she talking about! How could she possibly see him as being good to me? And how could she possibly see me as being happy?’
’Uh—wait a second. The way this sales associate is talking sounds a little... suggestive. And why does she keep staring at my neck? What’s there to see?’
’My neck????’ Suddenly, she remembered what happened right before they came here. To punish her, Tristan Grayson had bitten her neck hard enough to draw blood. Her face instantly flushed bright red.
’So, to the sales associate, this mark on my neck is proof that I’m happy?’
Her face burning, Mika Summers turned and ran over to Tristan Grayson.
"Finished?" Tristan Grayson asked, his brow furrowed and his voice cold.
Blushing furiously, she snapped at him, "This is all your fault!"
"My fault?" He clearly had no idea what she was talking about.
"If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t be this humiliated." ’I have never been so mortified in my entire life.’
Seeing that she was on the verge of tears, Tristan Grayson’s expression instantly turned cold. "What do you mean? Did someone bully you?"
"Yes! You’re the one who bullies me! You’re the one who made me so humiliated!" ’How can I possibly face my parents now?’
