Dominate the Super Bowl Chapter 533

Chapter 533: 532 Double-faced Beauty Chapter 533: 532 Double-faced Beauty “Training, please prepare.”

“Training, please prepare.”

The grating sound of the horn resonated from outside the training base building, abruptly pulling Li Wei from the depths of his sleep.

The scant two hours of rest felt as sweet as honey; his head had barely touched the pillow before he fell deeply asleep, without dreaming and entering a deep, blissful slumber.

Fortunately, Li Wei did not overexert himself by joining Hopkins and Watt for golf.

Instead, he wisely chose to catch up on sleep, recharging himself briefly.

But now, it was all over.

Outside, Watt’s voice was steady, yet one could faintly detect a hint of schadenfreude from the horn’s sound.

Clearly, the well-behaved Watt was excited—

A moment of happiness.

Li Wei flipped over, grabbed the pillow, covered his head and ears, and tried to close his eyes again, but the horn’s relentless noise penetrated the pillow and assaulted his eardrums.

Li Wei was somewhat breaking down.

Yet, Li Wei took a deep breath, and with a sudden motion, sat straight up.

The so-called breakthroughs, the so-called challenges, the real keys are moments , whenever you want to give up, to relax, just clench your teeth and persevere a little longer, even enduring a little while longer could yield a completely different outcome.

It was precisely such moments, a turn to the left, a turn to the right, different choices that would determine the ultimate heights achieved.

Heading to the bathroom to wash his face, adjust his mindset, and reappear on the field, Li Wei had regained his composure, ready for the afternoon’s training.

Different from the morning, the afternoon was focused on technical training—

Firstly, the players spread out for individual training, engaging in specialized practices based on positional needs.

For Li Wei, this meant footwork drills, impact drills, ball-handling drills, balance drills, evasion techniques, and so on and so forth.

Even without direct confrontation, he had a basketful of technical drills to deeply explore on his own.

However, Derrick was there too, being a running back as well.

From the training alone, it was clear Derrick was a down-to-earth, diligent type, quiet and focused.

Perhaps because of his brothers’ fame, Derrick had his own glory to defend; perhaps because of the Watt family’s meticulous nature, treating training as seriously as they would a match—

In any case, Derrick was intensely focused.

Derrick and Li Wei barely spoke, but their training silently initiated a contest, with a tension gradually permeating the air.

Next, the players formed teams for cooperative training, which was non-combative, purely focused on coordination, choosing flag football drills to avoid injuries.

Simply put, the emphasis of flag football was on reducing direct collisions.

Defensive players merely needed to snatch the red flag from the waist of the offensive players to successfully defend.

Based on this, they launched into route running drills, evasion breakthrough drills, and running reception drills among others, Li Wei partnering with various players, joining Watt, TJ, and Mahomes for coordination and technique drills.

The training was in full swing.

Merely from the description, the intensity of the afternoon training seemed far less than that of the morning; but in fact, the afternoon session focused on details, concentrating entirely on smaller muscle groups and body areas seldom exercised.

The physical and mental exhaustion was by no means inferior to the morning’s.

After the technical training concluded, a brief 30-minute break followed for breath adjustment and energy replenishment—

Watt, the gluttonous hippo, began his mad feast again.

Then came the final sprint, another round of intense physical training.

Watt called it, “The sprint before the finish line.”

This phase of training focused on breakthroughs.

When the body reached its limit, or was about to give up, they needed to clench their teeth and push through themselves, calling on energy once again.

Easy to say, but difficult to do.

Jason Kelce was the first to protest, collapsing directly onto the ground, forming a small puddle of sweat beside him in just a short while.

“No, no, I’m a center, okay?

When have you ever seen a panda move so intensely?”

Jason’s shoulders sagged, his gaze vacant, his messy hair and flushed cheeks making him look as though he had been thoroughly mauled and rubbed.

Then Robinson, recently recovered from an injury but clearly unable to keep up with the pace, also collapsed to his knees, lying on the ground in a spread-eagle position, gasping for air.

Someone immediately rushed up beside them, worried that Robinson might have encountered a problem.

Robinson continuously waved his hands, refusing, “I’m just going to lie down for a bit, just a little bit.”

Actually, Li Wei was also pushing his limits, relying solely on grit to keep going.

From this, it was evident that his off-season and Watt’s off-season were two different concepts.

He thought he had been diligent and hardworking, maintaining everyday basic training, but he still seemed like a minor witch in front of a grand wizard like Watt.

By 7:30 PM, the training had finally ended.

“Last group, last group, sprint!”

“Keep going, snap snap snap, rhythm!

Give it your all in the final sprint!”

“Good good, well done!”

As it ended, Li Wei felt from the depths of his soul that he was completely drained—

Having used up every last bit of his primordial strength.

His knees buckled, and he simply lay down on the spot.

It wasn’t just Li Wei, beside him laid bodies strewn haphazardly, only the heaving of their chests proved they were still breathing.

The only man still standing on the field was…

Drenched in sweat, steaming, Watt looked as if he’d just been pulled out of volcanic magma, and an image immediately popped into Li Wei’s mind.

“You’re a T1000, right?”

Watt didn’t understand and was full of question marks, showing a bright smile, “You still have the energy to joke?

Seems like you’re not squeezed dry yet.”

Watt noticed Li Wei’s rolling eyes, but laughed heartily without minding.

“So, you’re probably not interested in the Super Bowl party tonight?”

Li Wei didn’t want to talk, or more accurately, didn’t want to move a single finger.

He looked at Watt, asking with his eyes, just like Stephen Hawking:

Super Bowl party, what party?

Watt shrugged lightly, “Oh, the party to review every offensive and defensive play of the Super Bowl.

We can analyze it from different perspectives of the offensive and defensive groups.

We are focusing on the first quarter tonight and tomorrow night.

After a whole day of physical and technical training, then going for tactical training—

Or more aptly, a “tactical party.”

Wow, what a painful pleasure.

Li Wei closed his eyes.

Hahaha.” Watt laughed, extremely delighted.

A thunderous noise erupted nearby, and Li Wei opened his eyes to look over.

He didn’t even have the strength to stand up, lying on the ground with his head askew, vomiting uncontrollably, as if he wouldn’t stop until his stomach was empty.

After finishing vomiting, his body trembled slightly as he lay in the vomit, his face conveying a lifeless expression, not having the energy to continue arguing with Li Wei.

Yet, Li Wei didn’t kick him while he was down—

Hopkins probably wished he could die, overwhelmed by his own humiliation, where was the need for Li Wei to exert additional effort to attack?

Instead, Li Wei looked at Watt with concern, “Is your friend alright?”

Hopkins heard that, his body jerked, and he closed his eyes in despair: so, Li Wei still didn’t know his name?
