Don't Fall For Me, CEO Chapter 178

When the Jacobs Family was deeply troubled, July Quinn appeared once again at Rosewell Hospital.

This was her second consultation.

Before attending to the second special patient, she called in the patient from last time and gave him another acupuncture treatment.

Then, she handed over the medication she hadn’t had time to prepare last time to the patient.

"Take it three times a day after you go back, and in three days, you should feel much better."

Just as July finished speaking, Vice Dean Owens disdainfully sneered, "You’re just making stuff up."

Owens had also reviewed that patient’s case.

He had been troubled by mysterious coughing with blood for more than ten years.

Moreover, he consulted numerous famous doctors but still hadn’t been cured.

This young girl July did two acupuncture sessions, prescribed three days of medication, and claimed he would be cured soon?

To Owens, this was sheer nonsense. Original content can be found at novel-fire.net

But just as he finished sneering, July snorted, "I don’t need to make stuff up. Do you?"

"You..." Owens immediately pulled a long face, ready to argue with July.

Fortunately, Owen Shaw was also there.

He hurriedly stepped between them, "Vice Dean Owens, every doctor has their own habitual way of talking. You can’t impose your habits onto others."

"Fine, for your grandfather’s sake, I won’t argue with her. But in the future, if she’s consulting, don’t schedule me to the same time and place. I’d rather not see it."

Owen wanted to say that the previous arrangements were made by the former dean, intending for Owens to learn more from July since they were in the same department.

But clearly, Owens couldn’t appreciate the former dean’s thoughtful intentions.

So after some consideration, Owen simply said, "Alright, I’ll have someone reschedule your consultation times and places."

Owens was satisfied with the response and returned to his seat.

But then, July suddenly tossed a packet of medicine onto his desk.

Owens glared angrily at July, looking as though he wanted to pick a fight.

However, July didn’t even glance at him, focusing intently on studying the next patient’s case, "Old man, apply the ointment on that spot on your hand, or it’ll be troublesome if it penetrates."

Owens frowned, lowered his head, and glanced at the spot on his hand.

The spot had grown suddenly two months ago, but Owens had checked it himself and believed it was just an ordinary age spot, nothing serious.

Yet July inexplicably threw him a packet of medicine and exaggerated the seriousness...

Owens felt she was bluffing!

"An age spot, what do you take it for? Don’t try your little tricks on me, they’re useless!"

With that, Owens threw July’s packet of medicine back to her.

July frowned as she looked at the tossed medicine packet and then at Owens’ spot.

"If you don’t want to believe me, fine. Just don’t regret it when it becomes untreatable."

After speaking, July put the thrown-back medicine packet back into her drawer and called in the day’s patient to start examining his condition.

Hearing July’s words, Owens couldn’t help but feel worried.

Could this spot be as serious as July said?

But he scrutinized the spot a few more times and still felt it was just a regular age spot.

So he reaffirmed that July was merely bluffing, nothing to worry about.

Calming down, he began his consultations.

Once the consultations were over, he didn’t look at July again, just left the office area directly.

Owen Shaw stayed by July’s side, recording the formulas and acupuncture techniques she used during the treatments.

Seeing Owens leave in a hurry, he suddenly became curious and asked July, "Is there really a problem with Vice Dean Owens’ spot?"

"If treated, there’s no problem; if untreated, there is." That was July’s response.

"If untreated, what’s the worst consequence?"

July’s tone was casual, so Owen didn’t take it to heart.

"You probably have no plans tonight, want to have dinner together after work?"

Gazing at July’s charming and beautiful face and thinking about the online rumors that she was CC, Owen’s heartbeat inexplicably quickened.

Such a beautiful and talented girl, Owen felt he had amassed lifetimes of luck to meet her, and even became friends with her.

But Owen didn’t want to stop at just being friends...
