"July Quinn, I’ll take you to a place with no people."
Kyle Keaton didn’t know how he managed to suppress the surging bloodlust and hold the steering wheel.
July Quinn hung onto his long arm: "You’re not taking me home?"
Kyle Keaton glanced at her soft, fair figure and took a deep breath.
Then, he turned right ahead into a rarely seen alley and came to a sudden stop.
But upon hearing Kyle Keaton wasn’t taking her home, July Quinn’s enthusiasm faded as quickly as it came. She immediately let go and prepared to open the car door.
"Where are you going?"
Seeing her about to get out of the car, Kyle Keaton hurriedly stopped her.
But July Quinn broke free from him and shot him a look:
"Goodnight, baby, sleep tight. I have another party to go to."
With those words, July Quinn pushed open the car door.
She wasn’t planning to let him take her home, so why waste time on such a jerk!
But just as one of her long legs stepped out, she was pulled back in, and the car door was slammed shut.
The seemingly endless night ahead, the car would occasionally shake...
Meanwhile, elsewhere that night, Brian Vance was tending to his wounds, standing at his doorstep, pondering what excuse to use for the several bandages on his face.
Just then, his father David Vance pushed the door open and came out.
Brian Vance hurriedly covered his facial injuries and delivered the half-baked excuse he’d been mulling over.
"Dad, I just had dinner with Master Callahan and the others, and on the way back, the car accidentally scraped..."
But before he could finish, he noticed his father was still holding a phone, mid-conversation.
His father’s expression was one of unprecedented distress and urgency.
"Mr. Linton, listen to me, we’ve been friends for so many years! How can you suddenly withdraw your investment?"
But it seemed like the call didn’t last long and was disconnected.
"Hello? Mr. Linton? Mr. Linton?"
David Vance called out twice, but there was no response.
When he looked at the phone, he found the call had been hung up.
Brian Vance quickly stepped forward: "Dad, what’s wrong?"
"You..." David Vance looked up and finally saw his son in such a state.
He seemed like he wanted to ask about the injuries on his son’s face, but at that moment, his phone rang again.
David Vance couldn’t bother with those things, hurriedly answered the phone: "President Chase, don’t do this. We’ve been partners for so many years. It’s not too late to meet before making a decision..."

After she spoke anxiously, she looked up and saw her son’s face covered with several bandages.
"Mom, I was just with Master Callahan having dinner and on the way back..."
But before Brian Vance could finish the excuse he’d thought up, the woman impatiently interrupted him.
"Alright, we’ll talk about this when I get back. I need to go to your grandfather’s place now, see if they can help us out a bit."
Brian Vance’s grandfather was also in the affluent circles. Although his financial strength was no match for The Vance Family, in this urgent situation, there’s no other option but to give it a try.
With that, the woman grabbed her handbag and hurriedly headed to the garage.
