Don't Fall For Me, CEO Chapter 500

"Young lady, forget it..."

The old man shook his head and sighed helplessly, "It’s just my fate!"

Having said this, the old man walked towards the busy traffic outside the clinic in resignation.

July Quinn and Shelly Cole, worried about him having an accident, quickly followed him.

Seeing this, the receptionist thought they had achieved a great victory, watching their departing figures with a smug smile.

"I told you, no one dares to oppose Dr. Hale!"

"Working at Dr. Hale’s clinic, who doesn’t show us respect? People like them will come back bawling and begging soon enough."

The receptionist then laughed and went back to drinking tea and chatting leisurely.

Meanwhile, July Quinn and Shelly Cole caught up with the old man.

"Grandpa, don’t go any further, it’s rush hour right now, very dangerous."

The heavy traffic meant a small mistake could lead to an accident.

But the old man shook his head, "Even living now is useless, only bringing trouble to my children and grandchildren. It’s better to end it all."

It seemed the earlier blow had been too much for him, and he harbored suicidal thoughts.

"This illness of mine, even the big hospitals couldn’t find out what’s wrong. Everyone says that only Dr. Hale can treat it."

"Before, I went to Dr. Hale with a hundred bucks, and they said it wasn’t enough and refused to treat me. Now I’ve brought several hundred bucks, and they still refuse to treat me."

"Death is nothing, everyone has to take this path. It’s just a matter of sooner or later."

July Quinn saw the old man’s helplessness.

A few hundred bucks might not mean much to those receptionists.

But to a man past sixty, it might be all his savings.

Even bringing all his savings, the clinic still refused him treatment, making him feel like life had reached a dead end.

At this point, he was ready to end his remaining days.

But at that moment, July Quinn took his pulse.

"Grandpa, you don’t have a serious illness. Just cooperate with acupuncture and continue the medication for three months, and you’ll be cured."

July Quinn quickly informed him of the diagnosis.

"Young lady, I know you mean well. But I know my body."

A disease that even the renowned Dr. Hale wouldn’t treat, how could this young girl possibly cure it?

The old man continued forward, even trying to throw himself in front of a speeding car.

At a critical moment, July Quinn knocked him unconscious.

"July?" Shelly Cole quickly caught the old man, looking at July Quinn with confusion.

Shelly Cole hesitated.

The old man did seem seriously ill; what if he didn’t make it after they took him back?

If they couldn’t help and ended up blamed instead?

It’s not that Shelly Cole lacked compassion, but instances of trying to help only to be blamed were all too common these days.

Plus, July Quinn was young, saying she could cure the old man—a claim Shelly Cole couldn’t take seriously.

Before she could voice her concerns, July Quinn interrupted, "Stop overthinking. If I say I can cure him, I can cure him."

With July Quinn’s assurance, Shelly Cole finally helped the old man into the Cole Family’s driver’s car.

On the way, July Quinn made a phone call.

Shelly Cole always thought July Quinn was just a regular university student like her, aside from being a bit prettier and smarter.

Until she heard July Quinn say into the phone,

"It’s me. You know the storefront next to Dr. Hale’s clinic, facing Apex Tower, right? No matter the cost, buy that storefront."
